There’s plenty to criticize about Eric Adams, but he gave up running for another term to vote for Cuomo and give him shot at beating the communist. Not every politician would put his interests aside like that. For all his flaws, he put NYC first here.

Dear friends, today I turn seventy years old. I give thanks to the Lord and to my parents; and I thank all those who have remembered me in their prayers.

We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.

In NYC, because of bail reform those arrested for all but the most serious crimes are released almost immediately back on to the streets. The effect of these policies deters the NYPD from arrests for all but the most serious crimes. What this means is that those who remain incarcerated at Rikers are the most hardened criminals who have committed the most heinous crimes. And these are whom @ZohranKMamdani is targeting for early release from Rikers. Think about what this means for the future of crime in NYC and the NYPD’s approach to policing. Scary.
Zohran Mamdani says he will "reduce the jail population" and ensure NYC courts release suspects faster

We lost a true Canadian hero and legend! I’ll always remember the time that Dryden spoke to my McGill law class about his first year in law school. He passed most of his classes or attempted to attend most of his exams while playing for the Habs and in playoff mode šŸ˜‰
Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the Hon. Ken Dryden, a Canadian hockey legend and hall of famer, public servant and inspiration. He was a 6-time Stanley Cup Champion, 5-time Vezina trophy winner, Minister of Social Development, and dedicated Parliamentarian. Ken Dryden was the reason I became a goalie, although I never mastered his ability to lean on his stick let alone keep the puck out of the net. His return to university at the height of his playing career taught the importance of balance in life. His post-hockey career demonstrated the value of public service. Few Canadians have given more, or stood taller, for our country. Ken Dryden was Big Canada. And he was Best Canada. Rest in peace.
