A quick search through the collections today has revealed a couple of specimens that are definitely worth sharing: two hadal amphipods - Bathycallisoma (Scopelocheirus) schellenbergi from an unbelievable 10,047m depth in the Kermadec Trench:
Continuing a fascinating day at the Natural History Museum 'Collections and Culture' meeting, @StephHoltNH, @EdwinRose3, and Mary-Ann Constantine enjoy a show and tell session on Thomas Pennant’s books and collections held by the museum.
Absolutely delighted to receive the 2024 David Bellamy Award for 'distinction in field natural history' last weekend at the @britnats Encaenia at @NHM_London! Still stunned to receive such an accolade from such a wonderful organisation.
And huge congratualations to all the other awardees and members receiving their graded membership status (particularly @Andy404040 on his Fellowship, even if I am somewhat biased!)

The London Naturalist @LNHSoc journal 2024 has just been published, covering many wildlife topics including my paper on soldierflies and allies, a fascinating group of insects, in #Greenwich. I'll share it for anyone interested, once a suitable amount of time has elapsed.
