A YouTuber running #DCSoWhite launched a full DC Comics boycott this week, clearing his Absolute Batman pull list to protest 1,200 days without a Black character-led ongoing.
His demands include guaranteed 18-24 month cancellation immunity for new Black-led titles regardless of sales.
I Am Batman, the last Black-led DC ongoing, was canceled because readers stopped buying it. Static Shock and Cyborg have each had multiple solo series. Same result.
A Black indie creator on X called the campaign "a white liberal agenda meant to further divide our community."
