This is obviously @Keir_Starmer looking for a legacy, but actually means very little. What actually matters is what @AndyBurnhamGM thinks.
Social media will be banned for all children under 16, UK PM Keir Starmer announces Follow live: bbc.in/4e8dZQK

Presumably there'll also be a government commission to make sure they've changed their underwear and eaten their greens. All while giving them the vote, obviously.
🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer will introduce nightly social media curfews for 16 and 17-year-olds as part of the Government's social media ban [@thetimes]

These thugs fractured the spine of Sgt Kate Evans, who spoke in court of the medical and emotional trauma she still lives with. Prison is where they belong. Unlike Zack Polanski, I want serious consequences for anyone who attacks police officers risking their lives to protect us.
Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel. Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it. A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.

Not gut-wrenching, but spine-shattering. One of your scumbag mates here went to prison for breaking the spine of a female police officer with a sledgehammer. You are a moral vacuum.

A huge welcome to @StephenMorganMP as the new Food Security Minister — who after a quick search of hansard has mentioned “Farming” ZERO times in Parliament since being elected in 2017. Great to have another outspoken voice for farmers in DEFRA 💪 It’s now absolutely clear. Labour are truly dedicated to our farmers.

The right to protest doesn't entitle you to break a police officer's back with a sledgehammer and cause millions of pounds of damage. I've tried to come up with a polite alternative to calling @ZackPolanski a fuckwit, but I'll admit defeat on this one.

All week Zack Polanski has been attacking Reform politicians for their so called “extreme” language. Here he is outright defending criminals who broke a female police officer’s back with a sledgehammer. He’s a dangerous extremist and I’m glad he is being exposed for what he is.

So delighted to see that Andy Street of @FareShareSW has been made MBE in the birthday honours list. A genuinely good guy, using his talents to benefit others. Congratulations Andy.

Not applying VAT on something isn’t a “subsidy”. Did the presenter at any point interrupt or attempt to correct this very obvious bit of fake news? If not, then what’s the point of having a moderated discussion in the first place?

Churchill got it so wrong in 1940. All that money squandered on Spitfires, radar and the Royal Navy, when the real threat to Britain was obviously unsafe road crossings. Thank God Starmer has spotted the gap in our defences. £4.5bn of zebra crossings should hold the line against Putin.

We owe those who serve the UK the kit to do the job and the loyalty to stand by them when it's done. We are failing on both. I’ve spent my whole time in government making that case. Number 10 will not listen, so I am resigning as Minister for the Armed Forces. Letter to the PM below.🫡🫡🫡⬇️⬇️

Next time you're delayed by this sort of nonsense, you can thank politicians behaving like toddlers. Here's why ⬇️ bristol247.com/opinion/your-…
As part of improvement works in the area, we need to close Sylvan Way one-way between Shirehampton Road and the Portway late on 7 June. It'll mean you won't be able to drive onto the Portway from Sylvan Way until early autumn. More 👉 orlo.uk/waFN8 @travelWESTeng

The sad thing is I think she actually believes she's right. This is the classic left-wing view that all money naturally belongs to the government, and that not confiscating it as tax counts as a "subsidy".
The taxpayer shouldn't be "subsidising private institutions and private schools" Labour MP Lola McEvoy defends the government's decision to add VAT to private school fees as figures show the number of pupils in private schools is falling bbc.in/4v31nQI

Yep, this is a poor substitute for the private investment that's been scared away from the UK by @UKLabour policies.
Wow. A billion of taxpayers money. Most of which will be frittered away and never seen again. Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, US AI companies plan to invest £750 billion this year.
