Trump is creating legitimate space for people on the right to criticize Israel without being dismissed as "antisemitic."
This is why I never really turned on him over Iran. I didn't like it, but ultimately Trump isn't loyal to Israel in an ideological sense, because Trump isn't an ideologue.
If you make what seems like a good case for action to him, and you are someone he trusts, he will act...
...Until he no longer trusts you.
This has been a reoccurring pattern in both his Presidencies, and it was clear that the Israel-first crowd had his ear, but it does look like now they have lost his trust.

On top of that, it became increasingly clear throughout this whole "war," that Trump's agenda and Israel's were nor entirely aligned, and that Bibi was always going to try and rope him into further, more costly, kinetic warfare despite it being against America's interests.
The thing about Trump that we can always count on is that he will make the adjustment based off of who he trusts in the moment, and that who he trusts can shift.
Trump scolds Israel for sabotaging Iran peace deal, claiming that the US has been solely responsible for Israel’s existence and protection.
