The thing I noticed is people who complain about the ending being a curveball, but the first scene completely sets up that there is something else going on. They watch it but somehow miss that it is a guy in hazmat suit asking to be extracted.
I hope Kane Parsons is very selective with the criticisms he takes on board for the next Backrooms movie because 90% of it is so braindead that I truly believe applying it would ruin the franchise

The dirty secret of US elections is they are staffed by unpaid volunteers, there is no incentive to do it, so more often than not it is city government employees doing to earn brownie points. Bad combo of unmotivated and hyper partisan.

I know it’s tough to feel sorry for @hasanthehun and @cenkuygur getting bounced from speaking when they pushed for many on the right to be banned.
The real solve here is neither them nor the @Keir_Starmer regime should ever be allowed power or influence.

Hopefully Chiewetal Ejifor’s performance doesn’t get overshadowed by the overall hype around Backrooms. He pulls off a character that is outwardly sympathetic but inwardly kind of ugly and selfish a tension that holds the movie together.
Also Lukita Maxwell is stellar in a very small role as the only sane person in an extreme situation.
