We continue to experience isolated heavy showers which may lead to localised flooding from surface water and small watercourses, particularly across Dumfries and Galloway and Scottish Borders today.

Localised flooding from rivers and surface water is expected on Thursday and Friday due to heavy rain and snow melt.
Eight regional Flood Alerts are currently in place across South West, North East and Central Scotland.
Rivers will rise across the day and remain high overnight through Friday. Local Flood Warnings will be issued as required.

Sepa Floodline customers please be assured, the UK Emergency Alerts system does not replace SEPA Floodline service, which continues as usual.
It is an additional and important new element to the UK’s resilience framework.

An important addition from 23rd April, but no service change for Floodline users in Scotland, with all regional flood alerts and local flood warnings continuing as usual.
SEPA welcomes the development of a UK emergency alert system as an important component of a national resilience framework.
The UK Emergency Alerts system will not cover flooding in Scotland at this stage and does not replace SEPA Floodline.
