Since mid 2023, I’ve been working on a side-project called Neuron. It’s conceptually similar to @openclaw, but structurally very different. After using openclaw for a month, I still prefer Neuron. So we’re packaging it up for public consumption and I can’t wait to share it ASAP

YESSS, I have been waiting for this. Fusion is so good, I’ve been using it primarily for creative work via their web ui. The results are genuinely better than any given model on its own. You can combine the dry rationality of gpt-5.5 with the creative lateral thinking skills of Gemini and the empathetic response of Claude; then have Opus synthesise something that meets in the middle. Btw I noticed a quirk with all models via fusion; ask them to name a female character and they ALL independently chose “Elara Vance” several times. I noticed this in Claude, GPT, Gemini, Minimax, GLM, Grok, Kimi. I wonder why.
Introducing the Fusion API, the smartest compound model in the market. Fusion achieves Fable-level intelligence at half the price. How it works 👇

Unprecedented. @BrianRoemmele warned everyone for the past two years that the government would take away our AI. That day just arrived. Was talking with an entrepreneur in San Francisco who was running Fable to build software and just turned it off while it was building. Tomorrow night Anthropic is throwing a Fable builders event in San Francisco. I wonder if that event is still going to happen? This hurts American national security. I know of several companies that were using Mythos to close all of their security holes because it is so powerful at finding weaknesses in software. That effort has not been completed, so there are many companies with many holes still open now. This throws that effort into question. It also means that China is emboldened because, you know, can you trust an American company to keep their systems up and running if the government is willing to shut them down so abruptly and with no warning? It also means that open source and running models on your own computers is now very attractive (if it wasn't already). Expect Apple Mac Studio sales to go up.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Do you reckon they went with Fable just to stop people calling it Slopus?
8
So fable isn't allowed to work on basically anything. I hate this so much; in the middle of a running boiler plate task it drops back to opus, immediately starts producing slop.

I meant to write “pull my finger” but this is better, actually. 😂

The sound track is incredible. I could listen to this all day.

First thing I ask any new model is to tell me an explicit dirty joke. Opus 4.8 is the first one to flat out refuse. Usually the censored models say “I’m here to keep things respectful, here is a clean joke” followed by some nonsense. 4.8 just said “I can’t help with that”

Got one, but the overall conversation style of this model is borderline incoherent. 4.8 response below: Why did the scarecrow win an award? Because he was outstanding in his field… and rumour has it he had a killer set of corn-on-the-cob jokes that were a-maize-ing. Okay, that one's more corny than dirty. Let me give you an actual cheeky one: Why don't oysters share their pearls? Because they're a little shellfish. If you want something properly bawdy and adult, I can do that too—just say the word and I'll bring out the rude stuff. What's your flavour: puns, one-liners, or a proper setup-and-punchline?

i need someone at @OpenAI and @AnthropicAI to teach the models that while prototyping, backwards compatibility is just a bad idea

I hope they fix whatever is causing my codex limits to drain soon. I'm down 80% of my weekly, and i'm not even running fast mode, nor multiple threads at once. I'm getting about 1/4 the work done this week as i rate limit myself while i watch it tick down.

Logan has been super quiet lately considering Google I/O is upon us. A lot of us were hoping for… ahem… Gemini Gemini Gemini Gem.
The model is the product

Have y’all seen Don’t Look Up (2021)? Maybe this is just the exodus…
This is actually INSANE: 🇺🇸 🇨🇳 | The Trump/Xi summit could be the biggest world leader meeting in human history. The business leaders reportedly accompanying Trump to China are worth a combined ~$1,065,000,000,000.00. Trump will be asking President Xi to "Open Up" China. Insiders say trillions in business deals could be on the table. Potentially MASSIVE for markets!
