Lake-effect precipitation in June?
It's true. We usually talk about this kind of stuff in the fall, before freeze up of the lakes. But whenever there's a large enough temperature difference between the lake and aloft, these showers can happen, like they are today! #mbwx
Looking west from Winnipeg you can see billow clouds. These are indicative of moisture trapped under the inversion and strong shear at the interface. Promising for a #mbstorm later.

Growing up, we rarely saw Canucksโ games on television. It was radio for us. No pictures, just a voice. But I never felt I was missing out on anything because that voice belonged to Jim Robson. No one painted a hockey picture like Jim.He was better than anything on tv. God Bless
What a sad day, Canucks legend Jim Robson has passed away.
We only had a Canucks game of the week on TV in the 80โs, it was Jim and my radio.
Nobody described a game better.
Simply the best there ever was.
Let me talk to you about shishito peppers.
This spring I planted 4 plants, but never did I expect the volume we got.
This is the last harvest of the season, filling a medium mixing bowl. This makes about 3 servings for a blistered shishito appetizer.

We got this kind of harvest 6 times this summer!
I learned that planting them next to our house by a south-facing wall, a little fresh topsoil, and some Miracle Gro for the first month make shishitos thrive here in southern Manitoba.
Next year I won't change a thing!
