Faba going in at the @DAFFgov Long Term Field Trial at Wagga.
Sowing into barley stubble at a rate of 200 kg/ha, depth of 50 mm, with the tine seeder replacing the disc. Interested to see how the beans perform this year!

First bit of harvest data coming in for 2025 with a Pulse Variety * Sowing date trial at Caragabal (more or less dry sown). Good to see APB Bondi field peas showing its credentials, could be a handy addition to complement other pulses

Photo taken yesterday, FAR Lentil trial at Yarrawonga, middle strip of the new in 2026 variety “ALB Dane” staying green compared to all the other varieties in the trial, those being, Hallmark, Thunder, Kelpie, Terrier & Lightning.

New Lentil variety for 2026 “ALB Dane” (ALB2321) at the BCG Main Field Day yesterday. The recent AgVic releases have had a 🐕 naming theme, Kelpie & Terrier, with no real correlation, but not this time, “Great Dane”, big dog & big Lentil.

Essentially, what this body of @DPIRDbroadacre research suggests (relative to Bannister):
1. Goldie's N fertiliser package is similar,
2. Koala's N fertiliser package is also similar, but avoid > 100 kg N/ha, and
3. Minnie may benefit from slightly more N.
