When you look at what debate has become, is it really a surprise? Debate has been replaced with performers and commentators, who read out the lines they have been given for the cameras. Just set up nonsense that leads to a lack of trust. Its everywhere you look now.

This feels rushed and perhaps to form some kind of legacy for Starmer not sure. But I would not be surprised in the slightest, if we see Starmer setting out his departure at some point.

I have always thought some kind of basic income would work for the most vulnerable. Many will make the handout argument, but its a blinkered view. You have to look at it from a health perspective. Helping the vulnerable stay independent and the money goes back into the economy.

This is one of the issues Labour has with its vague term 'working people'. I would be willing to bet that came from a think tank so they were not seen as the part for benefits etc. But what it has done, is drive the working class away from Labour, as it has no clear identity.

What annoys me about this is that Labour and its MPs have forgotten what worked for them and why. They have become so out of touch they have forgotten that all jobs are important & all have a different wage, why fair rents & social housing worked. They abandoned the working class

Important issue this as many could get discriminated against as well as I was, simply for not having the qualifications others have. The amount of charities that did that was very sad to see, as you never forget. There is always a reason that often goes back to childhood.

A Labour party, that once stood up for manual workers and their families, the working class. They don't not see the opportunity staring them in the face, with the threat of AI. Focusing on trades, manual workers, drivers and so on. Just not learnt a thing from last month.

Pushing one size fits all was never going to work. What we face as children we take into adulthood. League tables, pushing one size fits all and ignoring that there was another way and that was ok too. Why many of us ended up doing manual work, meeting others facing a tough time.

Labour has been so focused on the lanyard route in life, its has forgotten about manual work. AI will not affect many jobs, expect perhaps warehousing, but only in the bigger corporations. Labour seem to have completely lost site of the importance of manual jobs.

Had an idea last night whilst watching the football. So I created KidneyKick to raise awareness of kidney health and hydration during the World Cup.

The lack of common sense here is staggering to me. Its no wonder politicians are out of touch is these are the people advising them. We had a housing model that worked and pushing home ownership as the only way, has caused what we are seeing. As well as selling off council houses

Love this. Went back to making my own bread during Covid, although use a dough hook and food mixer. Its the simple things in life that can really help bring a smile.

This is the problem Labour have, as they keep using the term 'working people'. I get it, its safe they probably did not want to be seen as the benefits party, which is a little ironic right now. They need to get back to what working class is. The job you do or did day in day out.
