2/ The area surrounding Croydon University Hospital (spanning parts of West Thornton, Selhurst, Broad Green and Bensham Manor) is getting ÂŁ20 million from the Government as part of the Pride in Place programme.

Served his country again as an air raid warden during the Blitz.
