I am not trying to be super unfriendly here, BUT i HAVE to. 1. Yo YUTA, how about stop tagging me, told you a couple of times. I do not need a babysitter - I vote and upgrade how and WHEN i want. 2. You are not even close to be in the position to create "social pressure" on people and remind them what to do: You were the one who constantly changed your vote, even at the last minute, despite having close to 500 million in voting power. Remember the proposal where you voted one way, and then Charles tried to guilt-force you and your country into voting "yes"? - You folded like a house of cards and gave in. I see signs of why you did this, and I genuinely feel sorry for you if I am right about my suspicion. I am sure 99% of people do not know that, because there is much more going on in the background than Charles. Charles was just the public trigger. 3. Upgrading a Cardano Node should not be just done because someone tagged you on X and created some hype and/or social pressure on you. Upgrading your node means you agree that the network and all key participants are ready for the fork and the changes it brings. IF a certain amount of Nodes run the fork-ready version, then the countdown for the fork is being started. So if some people are not ready and/or have other concerns to delay a fork, then the only way to delay the fork is by not upgrading. That being said,... IF you do not mind, PLEASE let everyone make his own decision when and what to upgrade to. THAT is the part of the decentralized system by the way: - Every single Pool makes his own decision when and how he wants to upgrade. If we all just followed someone like you and upgraded whenever someone told us to, we might as well have an auto-update function where Charles presses a button and off we go - new Charles law applied to the chain. MAYBE that is exactly what he wants. 1. Stay long enough to suck the rest out of the treasury 2. Make us all switch to midnight or whatever "better" fork. 3. and that's it.... LUCKY for us that the TECH is actually decentralized, so IF we would stop following his gaslighting advices and would allow competition in our ecosystem rather than funnelling all money to him and IO - then we could actually get somewhere. cardano's "governance" has been turned into a complete joke. it will never be taken seriously after this level of corruption. they just used genesis tokens in a bunch of burner wallets (tracked and proven) and voting power forcefully taken from Yoroi wallet users to vote for their own paid vacation. that's what this really is, do not fool yourself into thinking ADA will go up in value magically after this trip, or that the number of devs/token holders/users will rise even remotely significantly. this makes us all look like complete idiots for thinking governance could be distributed appropriately, or that the founding entities could have even a shred of awareness of the optics of their own greed. fucking disgusting.

To be honest and frank, I thought you would be secretly happy if at least a few of the IO proposals didn't get funding. Because it would mean the governance system you had helped design and bring to fruition was actually working and you really were "Charles the Community Member" versus the king/CEO of Cardano. Project Catalyst predicted precisely this friction for the past 5-6 years. All of us who had to go and compete for scarce resources have, in our turn, been called all sorts of names from scammer to grifter to receiving threats of violence and death. Most of us truly believe the things we were proposing would meaningfully improve the Cardano ecosystem. Most of us were wrong most of the time. Probably all of us have had to make the hard decision to let contractors and employees go when we could no longer afford them. We've all also invested heavily of our time, energy, and personal savings because we believe in the mission; even if the numbers are orders of magnitude different, the relative scale of impact remains. A lot of people are in an austerity mindset right now because many of us have been already stretched thin and doing our best to make it work and clearly every year will remain a competition for a finite resource. But, we're all still here. That can't mean nothing. We never started down this path thinking it would be easy. Also, I apologize for responding in such a way to this clip taken out of context. I have great respect for you and the things you've built here and elsewhere. I hope you and IO remain as valued contributors to the Cardano ecosystem for many years to come. Not every no vote is a "No to Charles" or "No to IOG", it could very well be just a not right now. I'll promise to try and do better with my relatively small platform. But I won't stop asking critical questions when I think they're warranted, I'll just try to be less adversarial in my tone and open to hear both sides of the argument.
