Was watching The Passenger on YouTube with a ton of commercials. Felt like the depraved modern world intruding on an object of beauty like barbarians bashing the windows of a sanctuary. So in some ways a typical day in a 2026 city.

The Anduril commercial is conservative art.

This is really cool. Just purely American. The kind of event that Roy Rogers would MC.

Something despairing about watching a girl beating on a school bus because her team won the championship. I can’t begin to understand it.

I am filled with optimism at the fact that the world's first trillionaire was made not by hedge funds or market manipulation, but by building the infrastructure to take America to the stars.
Feels very epochal.

The world is changing. Slowly but surely.

I’m not trusting of the DSA aligned NGOs, the unionized SEIU vote counters, or any of the other shady goings-on. If it quacks like a duck it’s a duck or maybe a concealed communist. Anyway, this is a really solid article that tells it like it is.
Today's substack is a collection of my thoughts on the LA mayoral race and how bad it looks from the outside Enjoy adorableandharmless.com/p/th…

I’m probably a tad more conspiratorial than Kitten. I think they’re rubbing some degree of blatant fraud right in our collective face but really he’s right, its the appearance of impropriety and their smirkiness as they say you can’t question “our democracy” that will end up being the death knell of any working republic.

NR pushing an ‘Against Trump’ piece on Todd Blanche proves he’s the right choice for AG.

The future city that redefined graft. Can’t help but love it. Tough love.
"Los Angeles had a political racket in the 1930s. Its crimes inspired Raymond Chandler to create Philip Marlowe, a fearless anti-hero to call them out and protect the weak. The racket is back, but City Hall doesn't care if there is no Los Angeles in ten years. It is unsustainable." - Esotouric As I've said, election fraud and manipulation and electioneering are American as Apple Pie. Has been going on forever. What we're seeing in Los Angeles right now is not new, it's just the latest form. A particularly extreme one. Which is why you can tell Dems are lying when they say "election fraud has never had any impact." These cheating mechanisms arise, they go to far, then they get cleaned up. We're at the "too far" stage right now.

The Robin Waterfield translation of Thucydides’ History of the Peloponnesian War is terrific. Really enjoyed it. Felt like a fresh experience.

If anyone remembers the specific color grade of the theatrical release of a movie they saw years ago then you’re a better man that I am, Gunga Din.

The idea that so many people want to star in their own Truman Show is so weird to me. Your life is your own. You don’t have to broadcast it. There are better ways to get 15 minutes if that’s your thing.

Don’t follow women’s tennis all that much but it’s pretty rare for 113 in the world to make it to a grand slam final. Nice to see.

Too many people out here trusting a single Fox News poll in June. Enhance your calm.
