Thanks to Public Health colleagues @MyNottingham & @NHSNotts for supporting our legacy 👏
For their outstanding efforts, The Early Intervention and Prevention for Children, Young People and Families Award goes to @ncitycare_ssbc. The judges believe sharing its best practices could greatly benefit other communities. #HSJAwards
Last week, we were delighted to win the @Notts_ICS Prevention Award alongside our partners at @SouthNottsPBP.

Wonderful to have the opportunity to share our experiences improving the primary/secondary care interface in Nottm & Notts, and the impacts they’ve had. Still more to do!
Today is #WorldHeartDay
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is one of leading causes of death and ill-health in Nottingham.
Last week, partners from across the system came together at our 'Hearts of the Community' event to discuss how to improve CVD prevention.
❗️ Critical Incident Declared at Nottingham University Hospitals ❗️
We have declared a Critical Incident as a result of an IT failure in our Pathology service. This affects the time it takes to process blood test results, and impacts hospital services and primary care. Patients with blood testing appointments at City and QMC are being asked not to attend.
Hear from Dr Mark Simmonds, Deputy Medical Director on what this critical incident means for you 👇
Updates will be posted on our website - 🔗 nuh.nhs.uk/latest-news/patho…
Has been an amazing journey securing high-trust, collaborative relationships between our colleagues in primary and secondary care, that have enabled many projects to improve the interface for the betterment of patients and staff across our system.
Still more we can do!

This hard to watch video from @Frontline_19 speaks of the trauma many of us carry in our work
Often unsaid, at times carried for years, human interactions are shared experiences
It’s not always this hard & at times is joyful but at others this is reality
Great to see our @EMASNHSTrust “Why am I contacting a GP?” poster finally out. Appreciate may still need tweaks as we get feedback but step in the direction of improving this vital interface
Thanks to @Subcut, @NottmCityPBP & Greg Cox for being the catalysts for this work
So proud of this team - 500 vaccinations given to our over-65yr old population today - flu, pneumonia and shingle jabs - to protect them this winter.
If you’re eligible, book in for your winter vaccinations as soon as possible to protect yourselves and your loved ones 😊
