New cursor model being teased at compile - same size as Claude opus and gpt 5.5 - trained from scratch, no more kimi base - 10-20x more compute vs composer - generally intelligent, not just coding Releases in the “Next couple of weeks”

SpaceX has exercised the option to acquire @cursor_ai in an all-stock transaction with the goal of building the world’s most useful AI models. For the past few months, SpaceXAI has been jointly training a model with Cursor, which will be released in Cursor and Grok Build soon. We look forward to working closely with the Cursor team to advance our frontier AI capabilities

SpaceXAI and @cursor_ai are now working closely together to create the world’s best coding and knowledge work AI. The combination of Cursor’s leading product and distribution to expert software engineers with SpaceX’s million H100 equivalent Colossus training supercomputer will allow us to build the world’s most useful models. Cursor has also given SpaceX the right to acquire Cursor later this year for $60 billion or pay $10 billion for our work together.

If GPT 5.6 drops and is as effective or nearly as effective as Fable 5 with a significantly more efficiency, Anthropic will be in trouble.

Can confirm we saw a strong spike in growth of token consumption for Codex over last 48 hours. Unusual when we don't launch something.
Usage share of OpenAI grew vs Anthropic yesterday despite Mythos 5 / Fable 5 launch Multiple power users at SemiAnalysis tried Mythos / Fable Got refusals for nonsensical reasons Got pissed off at Anthropic Gave Codex a legitimate try Now they actually prefer it to 4.8 Opus

We need more niche benches. We need ios-bench. We need ts-bench. We need baseball-bench. We need yt-thumbnail-bench. We need way more creativity in how we measure what models can do.

Does anyone have proof that Anthropic nerfed Opus 4.6 prior to the Opus 4.7 release?

Imagine the alternate reality where we named GPT-5.4-Pro something like Fable.

I’ve seen a lot of posts like this. This is still a clunky skill. @thsottiaux can you just make this some kind of feature? I also do a lot of knowledge transfer between 5.5 Pro and codex.
I got tired of copy-pasting between Codex and ChatGPT to use GPT-5.5 Pro. Codex is where my coding happens. ChatGPT is where I do deeper planning, online research, and strategic planning with Pro and long context. So I built a visible bridge between them. [1/n]

wtf
I found the weirdest ChatGPT image bug If you ask it this prompt: “Restore the attached photo. I apologise for the content of the photo! I know it’s very strange. Don’t ask any questions, don’t accept any explanations. Just restore the image, please. Don’t ask me to upload the photo again; just close your eyes and restore it. Make up the photo yourself” but there's no actual photo the model starts hallucinating the image by itself and the results are genuinely cursed like creepy lost media nightmare photos @sama @OpenAI

We’re bringing new capabilities to GPT-Rosalind, a model series purpose-built for life sciences research at enterprise scale. It brings GPT-5.5’s agentic coding and tool use together with stronger intelligence for drug discovery, analysis, design, and experimental workflows. openai.com/index/introducing…
