Story behind the Spiderman mask: Last week in Seattle, a fan randomly gifted Juan Soto the mask (and a Michael Jordan rookie card!) "He just gave it to me," Soto said. "OK, I'll take it." Carson Benge suggested using it for homers to switch up the Mets' mojo. So far, so good.

The Mets are currently operating with a 4-man rotation: 1. Nolan McLean (4.01 ERA/3.38 xERA) 2. Freddy Peralta (4.04 ERA/3.81 xERA) 3. Christian Scott (3.10 ERA/4.42 xERA) 4. Sean Manaea (5.02 ERA/4.19 xERA) They have strong internal depth to fill the 5th starter spot. Depth Options: David Peterson (5.75 ERA/4.71 xERA) Jonah Tong (3.60 ERA/3.87 xERA) Kodai Senga (9.00 ERA/4.73 xERA) Tobias Myers (4.05 ERA/3.39 xERA) Zach Thornton (8.31 ERA/8.31 xERA) Jack Wenninger (NA) One of these arms just needs to step up and lock it down until Clay Holmes returns from the IL to stabilize the group. #LGM
