If you β€˜protest to save lives in Gaza’ by hitting women with sledgehammers, I am very, very relaxed about you going to prison for hopefully many years.
Scale of sentences on the 4 young people who took direct action against the arms supplier to Israel is truly shocking. To impose years of imprisonment for protesting to save lives in Gaza is unjust, especially sentencing on terrorist grounds they were never convicted of by a jury

Sorry Q, it’s UK Law and no building is exempt. Get on with representing others and not yourself!

The irony of two SNP politicians on the fiddle is lost on this pair. As is the irony of seeing SNP politicians defending our vital oil and gas sector. They simply cannot be trusted.
What a fine end to today’s campaigning session πŸŽ»β˜€οΈ On June 18th, vote SNP 🟑

So the Greens want to ban circumcision for babies, but massively support and promote chopping off schlongs in the name of 'authenticity'? Bonkers as per usual: spectator.com/article/reveal…

Tremendous. Andy Burnham has accidentally arrived at the right answer: offer the WASPI women early access to free bus passes. Since the youngest cohort of WASPI women has just turned 66, when they get a free bus pass anyway, this amounts to offering them nothing at all.
NEW: Burnham *rules out* awarding financial compensation to Waspi women demanding billions of pounds, following an angry backlash within Labour Greater Manchester mayor has instead floated the idea of offering early access to cheaper travel schemes as recompense ft.com/content/fc90116d-519d…

Newbie SNP MSP Kate Campbell has just told the Holyrood chamber that the recent election was one 'that, frankly, we had no business winning after 19 years in government', but they did. Interesting contribution

The SNP’s latest use of freebies to buy votes (which the Scots keep falling for). Of course, it’s not a free Β£10,000 grantβ€”it’s a shared-equity scheme (like an interest-free equity loan) where the Scottish Government takes a proportional ownership stake in the property, which is repaid later. You need to qualify for a mortgage in the usual way first. Then you can take Scot Gov’s Β£10k to help with the deposit. If that comes to say, 5% of the purchase price, when you come to sell, say for Β£300,000, then you will pay back Scot Gov Β£15,000.
The SNP government will give you up to £10,000 towards a deposit on your first home. 🏑🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Vote SNP on Thursday 18th of June. 🟑🟑
Community note
The Β£10,000 is provided as a shared equity stake that the Scottish Government holds in the property and is normally repaid when the home is sold, not given as a free grant. gov.scot/news/first-hom…

We lost the vote 71-50 tonight which would have forced a Scottish Parliamentary inquiry into the SNP’s murky affairs. John Swinney’s pals, the Greens backed the SNP to avoid scrutiny. The public deserve better.
