Scale of sentences on the 4 young people who took direct action against the arms supplier to Israel is truly shocking. To impose years of imprisonment for protesting to save lives in Gaza is unjust, especially sentencing on terrorist grounds they were never convicted of by a jury

I have signed this letter calling upon the government to halt this real estate event that is promoting the sale of properties in the illegally occupied West Bank. We cannot allow this appalling theft of Palestinian land to take place in our own capital city.
Almost 100 MPs and Peers are urging Ministers to prevent the 'Great Israeli Real Estate Event' taking place in London this weekend. The govt has an opportunity to uphold obligations under international law and take action against Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine.

2 million children. 14% of all UK children. Growing up in food poverty in one of the richest countries on earth. This is not an accident. It’s a political choice. I look forward to the day a Government Minister resigns over this national disgrace. #RightToFoodCommission #HungerIsAPoliticalChoice

Second member of Keir Starmer’s cabinet to resign in a month. Despite a huge Parliamentary majority there is a remarkable instability about this administration that, if it isn’t addressed soon, could render the government paralysed by lack of leadership bbc.co.uk/news/live/cgqeg09p…

Thank you @Kate_Dearden for launching this important consultation. This is a vital opportunity to make the case for statutory paid Carer's Leave - a right that could help thousands of carers stay in work while managing their caring responsibilities.

Pleased to join Unison General Secretary Andrea Egan & Andy McDonald MP at rally to urge the government to halt its plans to undermine our work visa system which would put so many of our caring services at risk as we lose workers who play such a vital role in our society.

Palantir's co-founder claimed "the NHS makes people sick". Yet this US tech giant now runs the NHS data platform. There are serious concerns about its access to patient data and human rights record. The Government should use the break clause to kick Palantir out of our NHS.

Today legislation bringing our railways back into public ownership passes in Commons. Privatisation has been a disaster - fares have soared, tax payers have subsidised the profits of European companies running our trains, jobs have been cut & outsourced, safety cut & lives lost.

This is excellent news. Jess Barnard has given party members a strong & independent voice on the NEC. If we are to recover the support our party has lost in recent years we need NEC members like Jess who are honest & principled in speaking up to represent the views of our members
Following an investigation, my suspension has been lifted. I have been fully reinstated with immediate effect I’ve spent my life fighting for a party that represents its members and serves working‑class people Im standing for re-election to Labours NEC Let’s get our party back

I have signed this letter in the hope that the government will at last act and bring forward a complete ban on trade with the illegal Israeli settlements as a start to a comprehensive sanctions programme.
Together with almost 140 fellow Labour MPs, I have written to the Foreign Secretary to call for a ban on trade with illegal Israeli settlements. Our group includes every Labour select committee chair. It’s time to be clear that settlements have no viable economic future (1/2)

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the racist murder of Gurdip Singh Chaggar that provoked the mobilisation of an anti racist movement in West London that survives to this day.
Today marks 50 years since the racist murder of Gurdip Singh Chaggar, an 18-year-old stabbed to death in Southall National Front leader John Kingsley Read responded to the murder by saying: ‘One down, a million to go’ Between 1976-1985, there were 35 racist murders in Britain🧵

Congratulations to Peter and Khadija. Superb piece of investigative journalism. @PeterKGeoghegan
Well done to @PeterKGeoghegan and Khadija Sharife for winning the @PrivateEyeNews Paul Foot Award — and revealing a conspiracy which for some time succeeded in suppressing scrutiny and defaming not just Sunday Times reporters, but those without the same resources to defend themselves including, above all, Paul Holden @StarmertheFraud. He was trashed for supplying us with bulletproof documents which posed a question which years later has still never been answered: why did the entity which made Keir Starmer leader fail to declare hundreds upon thousands of pounds when it had been told it needed to? The alacrity with which Labour ministers and MPs rightly scrutinise, for instance, Farage’s finances strangely still eludes them on this. Still some grumble about the supposed factual identity of Starmer’s adversaries — and in so doing, either inadvertently or otherwise give oxygen to many of the report’s lurid claims. Which is why fearless journalism was the only remedy. Peter and Khadija recognised that and the whole fourth estate is fortunate they did. And a final word: only a few of us know the sacrifices some people have made to bring this information into the public domain. Thank you to them — and let’s all remember that, according to Hansard, at least one source is being hounded by Apco, the appalling firm behind the report.

Labour cannot defeat Reform by chasing Reform. We have to return to the values we were founded on: standing up for working people, tackling inequality and injustice, investing in public services, and improving living standards. If we get this wrong, the danger of Farage and his Trump-style politics entering Downing Street is real. labouroutlook.org/2026/06/02…
