An employer cannot simply tell an employee with a disability that they must be “100% healed” before returning to work—that may violate federal law. Dunkin’ Donuts franchise operators in Massachusetts will pay $250,000 to resolve allegations that workers with medical restrictions were denied reasonable accommodations and placed on unpaid leave instead. Workers with disabilities have rights under federal law, including the right to request reasonable accommodations that help them do their jobs. If you believe you’ve experienced workplace discrimination, contact @USEEOC.

Thank you to the thousands of City workers who kept New York running throughout the Knicks’ Finals run as well last night after yesterday’s celebrations. To the members of the NYPD, FDNY, EMS, DSNY, DOT, and every City worker who showed up, did their job, and helped keep New Yorkers safe: I cannot thank you enough. Whether you were responding to emergencies, staffing events, directing traffic, cleaning our streets, or working behind the scenes in ways most people never see, your dedication made this historic moment possible for millions of New Yorkers. By the time many of us woke up this morning, the city was ready for another day because of your work. I join millions of your fellow New Yorkers in saying thank you.

Started a war. Killed school girls and our troops. Prices up. To get what exactly? Back to where we started. Not exactly the Art of the Deal.

Over the last few years, I’ve heard from so many people who care deeply about what’s happening in our country but aren’t sure where to start. That’s why I wrote Ordinary People, Extraordinary Times. It’s a practical guide for anyone who wants to make a difference, take action, and help shape our shared future. The book is out August 25, and pre-orders are open now. ordinarypeopleaction.com/

We filed a class action lawsuit against the Justice Department for denying reasonable telework accommodations to federal workers with disabilities.  Feds with disabilities should not be forced to choose between their livelihoods and their health. Disability rights are human rights.

Taxpayers' money is meant to make life better for all in our nation, not to be handed out as payouts to Trump's political allies. This court win proves that no one is above the law. thedailybeast.com/trump-humi…

This Pride, we're honoring the trans people who came before us: visionaries like Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, Lorena Borjas, Cecilia Gentili, Monica Roberts, and Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, alongside the countless trans people whose courage & leadership shaped our movement.

We just secured a first-of-its-kind court order pausing the Trump-Vance administration from processing claims, transferring money, or distributing payments from the president’s “Anti-Weaponization Fund.” This is a win for transparency, the rule of law, and the American people.

This should shock every single American. ICE's increasingly violent tactics are out of control.
ICE pepper sprayed Senator Andy Kim while he peacefully protested outside a detention facility.

The House just DEFEATED the GOP's hijacked Women's History Museum bill that would have handed Trump unilateral control over the museum's location & banned the inclusion of transgender women. Read CEC Chair @RepMarkTakano's full statement here:

Americans need a government that is more dedicated to keeping our food and well-being safe than it is to spouting Christian Nationalist views. We will see you in court.
