Back in 2021 I did an edition of “Viking Chieftain mice”. One of these was to go with the “Saxon Sutton Mew cat” I did later in 2023. #jeffdeboer #vikingart #vikingmousearoumur #mousearmour #vikingstyle

I saw this little fella on my one and only trip to The Grand Canyon in the late 90's. He was scrounging treats from tourists like me. 🥰

Radiance: I often go to Druridge Bay on the Northumberland coast with my family. We marvel at the ridgy patterns in the sand that are surprisingly firm under bare feet. Every day new ones are made by the retreating tide with infinite variations. The reflections from pools of water in between the sand-bars took a lot of thought to ensure they mirrored the sky. I CAN REMEMBER WHEN ALL THIS WERE FACTORIES... Well, to be honest, I can't, but plenty of locals will tell you that the area behind the beach at Burry Port was lined with industrial buildings and a power station within living memory. All gone now of course. TIDE'S IN!

Echoes in the Reeds references Japanese woodblock printing with its contemplative atmosphere achieved through subtle layering of colors. The crisp outlines of the reeds contrast with soft marks in the sky. It invites you to pause and connect with nature. rebecca-vincent.co.uk/single…

The Irish playright George Bernard Shaw, photographed 119 years ago, at the age of 51. I have cleaned and enhanced this very striking Autochrome portrait by Alvin Langdon Coburn, taken in colour in 1907 via the Lumiere brother's newly-patented colour glass-plate process.

How embarrassing for all those who claimed Hannah Spencer was wearing a £1800 Gucci silk blouse. 🤣🤣🤣

This is the Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton (1874-1922), watching the ice break up in the winter of 1915, just weeks before his exploration vessel The Endurance was crushed by the ice pack and sank below the Weddell Sea. I have cleaned-up and enhanced this old paget plate, which was taken in colour by the ship's photographer Frank Hurley 111 years ago. It's an early colour glass-plate process and not colourised.

SO AWESOME! I'm not especially a Star Wars fan but I do love this little droid model (a half-scale DeAgostini partworks build that I source piecemeal via eBay).
