What a great press conference in Tampa, Florida with @Paul_Renner. He absolutely took down Byron Donalds for not standing with Gov. DeSantis to pass conservative legislation.

Gov. DeSantis is right. A debate was promised to Republican voters, and now the rules are being changed to protect a preferred outcome. Florida Republicans deserve to hear directly from the candidates, compare our records, and decide for themselves who should be the next Governor, not have that decision made for them behind closed doors. The question is simple: Why won't Byron Donalds debate? #FLGov #LetThemDebate

The Speaker will beat all candidates in a debate. He’s ready!
I couldn’t agree more. Florida voters deserve to hear directly from the candidates and compare our records, ideas, and vision for the future. I’m ready to debate Byron Donalds anytime, anywhere, and show Floridians why I’m the most qualified candidate to be their next Governor.

Honored to attend the Timber Pines Republican Club's Flag Day Ceremony today. Our flag represents the freedoms, sacrifices, and values that make America the greatest nation on Earth. On Flag Day, we proudly celebrate the red, white, and blue, and those who have fought to defend it. God Bless America.

PAUL RENNER's accomplishments as Speaker are considered historically great by GOAT DESANTIS & his chief of staff who also shares in FLs conservative victories. Uthmeier was DeSantis' right hand man.Only Casey was more involved.I'll vote Renner as best to extend DeSantis' legacy.

False. The Speaker is performing better than Jay in the panhandle and in northeast Florida. Jay is a Montana outsider. He needs to go back.

Nobody north of Ocala has even heard of him. Bad choice. Jay is the man.

I think it’s become clear that Jay & Byron are in cahoots. After Jay said he will break his back for Byron, he puts out this scam site calling for a debate, but has refused to debate on any platform outside of the RPOF. Byron and Jay are the party establishment.

Let’s goooooo.
I have explored every candidate running for Governor of Florida. I have asked questions, dug into their past voting and character, and I have found the candidate I think is best for me. None of these men are perfect, none of them ever are. But the ones that meet my basic criteria were Collins and Renner. I have decided that I will be voting for Renner in the Primary. I feel he has the most legiislative experience of anyone running. His 23 years of service as a Naval Officer shows leadership ability, and accolades for the FLorida AG and the Governor himself, where he was praiised for being instrumental in pushing the Desantis agenda through the Legislature were key to FLorida being what it is today. I would urge each of you to vote Renner, as our best choice to replace Ron Desantis.

From article: Renner blasted the idea that he won’t be able to engage Donalds in a debate. “I think it’s been rigged from the start, to be perfectly honest, and it’s just par for the course,” he told the Phoenix Thursday. “There’s a lot of disappointment in the state party at the local level among the local party officials, and I saw this coming a mile away.” Renner added that it is “dangerous” to potentially have a nominee who hasn’t been battle tested before going up against the Democratic nominee in the fall, “and that’s exactly what the RPOF is intent on doing with respect to this ‘Sunshine State No Showdown.'” floridaphoenix.com/2026/06/1…

At least you’re finally coming around to admitting you are at fault. That’s the first step. The next is to apologize and ask for forgiveness!
In all fairness, there are certain charter members of the Paul Renner circle who to this day hold me responsible for Fishbeck as he was in several of my Spaces. I’ll gladly take the blame so Loomer can come at me. Her deposition is great reading.

The AG is endorsing candidates but is silent on the gubernatorial race. I mean, since the Trump endorsement it’s pretty clear he’ll support Byron. Kinda disappointing tbh

Streaming to 500 people when there are millions of Republican voters in the state is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. What a sham.

We are streaming our event Also the Governor would have he was polling over 20% Voters even get to hear from Bobby Williams. We look forward to showcasing our elected officials and candidates as we prepare to win in November!

This is a lie. All candidates have been invited to multiple debates. Only Byron and Jay have declined to accept them.
Replying to @SupportDeSantis
There haven't been any full debates planned or scheduled, so what you said is a lie.

Jay’s senior advisor spends his days attacking Renner. So one needs to ask the question, is Jay working with Byron?
I've asked often, and nobody has ever answered me. You all support Renner, fine. Yet Donalds who you should be attacking. All Renner people seem to do is attack Jay. This was a post about Jay, yet here you all are. Why? So it begs the question, is Renner working with Donalds?

We agree.
Governor DeSantis understands that politicians work for the people and have to earn their support. Floridians deserve the chance to vet candidates, hear them debate the issues, and make up their own minds about who should lead our state.
