Twitter suspensions are much the same as being kidnapped, beaten, chained, whipped, sexually assaulted, malnourished, forced to work in fields/ swamps, denied medical care, the ability to worship or speak freely, marry, raise your own children, own anything, vote, travel, etc.

Considering leaving Twitter? I'm sure backups are available, but doesn't mean you should have everything readily available.
1) Update primary email to a temporary or secondary.
2) Delete phone number stored.
3) Clear messages.
4) Remove identifying info, photos, and locations.

Musk critiques aside, the idea a single rich person could have unfettered and unrestricted access to 15 years worth of data, specifically DMs, from a platform that sparked revolutions and had millions of interactions between journalists and sources is not particularly comforting

Looks like Truth Social is waiting to see if Elon can buy twitter and reinstate Trump. Will revitalize their election steal lies and embolden retaliation efforts. I’ll be saying goodbye to Twitter at that point.

I remember trump fans getting excited/mad seeing other companies buying twitter stock to “combat elon.” When they likely just wanting to secure more money. Business, not politics. We’ll find out soon enough.

If this stuff is what you consider a "victory" you are a petty authoritarian with no qualms about using the state to stifle speech, no commitment to freedom of expression, and really no interest in liberty of any kind.

Those claiming the Jan. 6 investigation will end up like Mueller are underrating two important differences:
1) Evidence many Americans committed felonies re: Jan. 6, but not re: Russia
2) AG Bill Barr aimed to cover it up
I don't know how this'll turn out, but it'll be different.

Anyone think Twitter would be used like Cambridge Analytica, a single link for data harvesting, with sights on future elections for Republicans? If you want to talk “psychological targeting,” look no further. Even Elon’s presence is a magnet for Republican advancement.

When I think Musk, I think of his buddy Peter Thiel on Facebook's board grooming Mark Zuckerberg for years (except now he'd be directly in the pilot seat). Nothing pretty would result from this buy.
