Dzaleka refugee camp in Dowa,Malawi was awesome today and had its first ever chess tournament hosted by Ubuntu Nations School . Joining @FIDE_chess @FIDESocialChess in its efforts in Chess for protection project . The players represented Burundi,DRC,Rwanda and Malawi countries.. This was possible because of the chess sets donated by @thegiftofchess when we first introduced chess in the refugee camp. This is historic !

A generous USA based donor has placed an order for 500 chess sets for 5,000 USD with @SogaChess for custom made @thegiftofchess chess sets made in Goma, DRC. These 500 chess sets will be donated to schools and orphanages across the DRC.
