This is good, actually. She barely shows up and doesn’t do the reading.
To borrow a phrase I saw elsewhere, it’s like giving someone an unplugged controller.
Not surprising given the things one side is saying at rallies encouraging this behavior. Hopefully everyone who voted early in the county tracks their ballot so they can see if theirs was impacted by this.
The Clark County Elections ballot drop box at the Fisher's Landing Transit Center was lit on fire this morning. Clark Co. Auditor Greg Kimsey says hundreds of ballots were inside at the time, the last pickup being 11AM Saturday. Full story here katu.com/news/local/vancouve…@KATUNews
Other than for a few days in 2007, I have had a cat since 1st grade. That’s almost 4 decades. Losing Circe a day before her 17th birthday was tough, but waking up this morning to find that Finn had passed is devastating. He was by my side for a little over 17 years. I’m lost.
I adopted Finn and Circe together when I was 26. We lived at 7 different addresses over those years, they were with me when I turned 30, when I turned 40. Through job changes, whole career changes, heartbreak, love, and marriage. I became a real adult with them.
I say this as someone who adores her dogs & would love to take them everywhere. The number of people who think they have the right to bring their non-service dog or cat into the public library blows my mind. & they are SO rude when policies are explained to them.
Currently in a lunch & learn webinar about how to market your programs and legit these librarians are saying to use AI for photos and ChatGPT for wording and I cannot. Apparently December’s Lunch & Learn will be all about AI. I need MLA to stop pushing AI.
Dressed up as mothman for a teen program tonight and had an adult patron stop me to basically tell me I was going to hell. Just another day serving the public as a librarian. 🤷♀️
I hate having to park in a municipal lot for work. I just noticed that someone clipped the front of my car yesterday (it wasn’t there on Thurs). This is the THIRD time in about 4 weeks that someone in the lot at the library has scratched my car. Of course no one owns up to it.
Another day, another night driving around in the dark and rain in Worcester and losing count of how many people are driving around with NO lights on. This city needs to crack down on the reckless driving before more people are hurt.

With Brew on the Grid announcing it’s closed for good that’s one less option for coffee/tea within walking distance of both WPL and Union Station. We need more options, not less.
Our 2024 Mass Teen Choice Book Award runner up is... REZ BALL by @byrongraves! It looks like teens really liked sports themed books this year!
