Seen 2008 recession, COVID era, and now this.

Most layoffs are simply an HR call severance discussion.
In some big MNCs, employee ID cards were deactivated first thing in the morning, followed by the HR call and exit process.
Let me tell you how layoffs look in MNCs.
They call you to the HR office, often with a security guard nearby. In some cases, an ambulance is also kept on standby because people can panic or break down emotionally. Then they ask you to submit your resignation and offer 2–3 months of salary in advance.
Once you hand over your ID card and laptop, they escort you directly to the exit so there’s no scene or disruption.
I pray no one has to face this situation in their career. It’s extremely hard to digest.
