Southerners used to have so much advice for people of the Middle belt when the fulani attacks were primarily in our region. To apply the advice now that the brutality has spread seems really tough. You can all see that theory and practicals are different things.

What happened at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital yesterday is a national disgrace and must not be treated lightly! Calling on @officialEFCC to promote lawful conduct; to publicly call the officers involved in the act to order, @Fmohnigeria @nighealthwatch to protect our healthcare system, and the presidency @NGRPresident and @NGRSenate to look into this, so this doesn’t happen to any healthcare worker again. @UN @WHO @WHONigeria @UNICEF_Nigeria Justice must prevail. Say NO TO VIOLENCE AGAINST MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS. Enough is Enough.

Abuja Residents Security Bill—community policing in every neighborhood. Solar streetlights in high-risk areas. Quick-response emergency teams. You should not be afraid to come home at night. TWO: Your sweat must pay. Your hustle must count. Abuja Residents Empowerment Bill—mandating quotas for youth- and women-led businesses in government contracts. The Rent Control component of my Bill will protect you from unjust rent hikes. Double taxation elimination,  Skills Empowerment spending that empowers Abuja residents with real skills. Access to Capital mandates that ensure a portion of Abuja taxes is used to provide microloans to support businesses. THREE: Water. Roads. Light. Healthcare. These are not favors—they're your rights. Abuja Infrastructure Bill clean water for residents through solar-powered boreholes.  Roads in Abaji, Kwali, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje and the neglected parts of AMAC - FIXED. Primary Healthcare Centres are upgraded with an adequate number of doctors, medical supplies, and reliable emergency services.  Schools renovated.  This is not optional. This is your right. FOUR: Pregnancy is not a death sentence. Free Maternal Health Bill,  Comprehensive care for every pregnant woman, regardless of how much money you have. Mobile clinics reaching rural communities.  Maternal waiting homes near health centers. 100,000 women served.  No woman should die giving life. FIVE: They can't just take your land and bulldoze your house. Indigenous Rights and Land Protection Bill— Full compensation for ancestral lands.  Land Rights Tribunal.  No demolitions without proper notice and fair payment.  Affordable housing for middle- and low-income families.  Your dignity is not negotiable. SIX: You will see where every kobo goes. FCTA Accountability Bill— every budget, every contract, every demolition order.  You will SEE it.  TRACK it.  QUESTION it.  The minister will be mandated by law to engage Abuja residents before drafting budgets or spending.  Your needs must be captured in the budget.  FCTA will no longer see bloated and inflated contracts used to enrich corrupt politicians.  When everything is in the open, the thieves have nowhere to hide. SEVEN: I will fight for an Abuja Education Bill — No Child Left Behind. EVERY CHILD DESERVES QUALITY EDUCATION. NOT JUST THE ONES WHOSE PARENTS CAN AFFORD PRIVATE SCHOOL. Public schools renovated with proper classrooms, libraries, science labs, and sports facilities. Scholarships covering tuition, WAEC, NECO, and JAMB fees for indigent students. Teacher recruitment and training programs. Competitive salaries to attract and retain quality teachers. ICT training centers in all the area councils for training youth in digital and coding skills. Universal access to quality primary and secondary education across all six area councils. A BETTER ABUJA MEANS EDUCATION IS NOT A PRIVILEGE FOR THE RICH. IT'S THE FOUNDATION OF EVERY CHILD'S FUTURE. AND I WILL FIGHT TO GUARANTEE IT FOR EVERY ABUJA CHILD.

"How Obi Outsmarted Tinubu and APC: While everyone was watching the Labour Party and ADC, Peter Obi was already three steps ahead. By the time the political class realised what was happening, the game had changed. Most people think his move to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) was sudden. It wasn’t. It was planned long before the noise started. NDC itself wasn’t just another party. It was registered by court order, which made it difficult to challenge. More importantly, the window for any appeal had already closed, and only INEC had the power to contest it. That moment passed quietly, unnoticed. Now go back to early 2026. Senator Seriake Dickson, former governor of Bayelsa, registered NDC in February. This happened just weeks after a private meeting with Peter Obi. At the time, it meant little to observers. In reality, that was the foundation being laid. Around the same period, Obi was frequently visiting former President Goodluck Jonathan in Otueke. Soon, rumours began to spread that Jonathan might run for president under the NDC. That rumour served a purpose. It distracted everyone. Tinubu’s camp didn’t see NDC as a threat. Their focus remained on the Labour Party and ADC. Efforts were made to weaken those platforms, while INEC was busy slowing down the registration of other parties believed to be linked to Obi. Meanwhile, something else was quietly coming together. NDC was being prepared. Then came another move that seemed random at the time. Senator Dickson visited Rabiu Kwankwaso in Kano. Many people didn’t understand it then. Looking back now, it was part of a larger alignment. Peter Obi, on his part, kept repeating one thing: he would be on the ballot no matter what happens. That wasn’t a hopeful statement. It was a calculated one. He already knew the path he would take. Obi also understood that powerful interests within ADC would not allow him to emerge as their presidential candidate. So, while ADC leadership believed they had boxed him in, especially after settling on Atiku Abubakar, Obi was already preparing his alternative. When ADC made its move, Obi made his. At that point, Tinubu’s camp began to hear whispers that Obi might defect to NDC. In response, there were moves in the National Assembly to introduce laws that could block last-minute defections. But timing is everything. Before anything could be finalised, Obi had already switched. The move came fast and caught many off guard. Tinubu himself was reportedly forced to adjust plans as the political landscape shifted almost overnight. Now, the focus is no longer on the Labour Party or ADC. It is on NDC, a party that was quietly secured, strategically built, and activated at the right moment. And this time, stopping it may not be so simple. Whether people saw it coming or not, Peter Obi has positioned himself for the 2027 ballot." #WeAreOK

The next couple of days will define the future of this nation. This deeper understanding is why I resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as I follow the leadership of, HE Peter Obi, who today embodies the hope and aspiration of a Nigeria that works.     When I give my word, I keep it. My decision to support HE Peter Obi first led me to the ADC. To continue to honour the promise I am joining the NDC.   This time I am joining the NDC not just as a member but as one running for the FCT Senatorial seat.   I have tidied up all my obligations to the ADC, ensuring a clean transition. I was fortunate to work with great and amazing people whose goal was a better country.
