Chris and Charlie are back after a big week, with St Gotthard taking out a huge G3 win and Salt Spray turning heads at provincial level, both flagged as horses with a strong futures ahead. Nobler made it two in a row while Asterix continued his resurgence, with the stable eyeing the Q22 and possibly the Doomben Cup as targets.

Attention turns to Scone on Saturday, where La Basilique looks to make it four straight in her first crack at a stakes race. Osipenko, Waterford, Chico Mojito, Imperialist, Caboche, Shadizi & Sun God all contest the Scone Cup on Friday.
Down south, Zarir steps out at Flemington in the Andrew Ramsden, while Estremo looks primed to bounce back at Doomben alongside Hidden Achievement and Burmastar.
It's also Tour d'Horse week, with six days in the saddle through the Hunter Valley as part of Team Via Sistina, raising money for the KIDS Foundation, which supports children recovering from trauma and injury. We’re only a few dollars short of the $30,000 target!
