Speaking of Darnell Nurse, I don't agree much with this card. I think he's a solid enough #4 type if he's insulated, but the model seems to think his offence intangibles really push him up. Hey, I mean, this can be used as Nurse propaganda for what its worth.

Requested by @Shae_Nuge93 , but with rumors of Nurse wanting to head east, and a potential match with Philadelphia, I do think a Couturier/Nurse swap could be beneficial to both parties. Couturier would slot in as an excellent 3C behind Draisaitl and McDavid.

Pittsburgh re-signs Evgeni Malkin to a reasonable, 1-year deal. Likely correleates with Dubas punting another year of the rebuild (and possibly keeping Erik Karlsson around), but Malkin himself isn't a bad player. Putting him on the wing helps a lot.

I do think a lot of people don't give Jake McCabe enough credit for who he is as a Leaf... he's the farthest thing from a sexy name and he had some bad moments this year in the Leafs system, but there's still an excellent #3, low-end #2 here.

Personally, I'm not the *biggest* Mario Ferraro guy because his namebrand is going to let him command north of ~5.5M because of his intangibles (great blocker/hitter), and also because his defensive metrics are a bit suspect. He's still pretty good though, just not my favorite.

What are your thoughts on Ferraro instead of Kulak? He's from Ontario

Whats interesting about Shea to me is that he took a huge leap offensively thanks to a bigger role in Pittsburgh. Even then, he never played on the PP and wasn't Karlsson's d-partner either. At only 29, he's a sneaky good option for a ~#4 puck-moving role.

Intrigued by Ryan Shea as a potential fallback option. Curious to see his card

Behind Darren Raddysh, Brett Kulak would be my *personal* number two defenseman on the FA board simply because of everything that he combines as a versatile top four option. I don't think he'll command significant money either, so he'd be a perfect second pair LHD.

TVR is a fantastic option for a team that needs a #4-5 dman that can move the puck and isn't afraid of jumping into the rush here and there. His size (6'3) also makes him an attractive option. He'll be looked back at as a hidden gem of this years FA class.

No Yamamoto (as yet) but Power's card is great (don't look at those comparables... erm...) and he's still quite young so he'll only continue to improve. Even if this is near his ceiling, a consistent #2 (and at worst, #3) is exactly what the Sabres need behind Dahlin.

Just wanted to post McDavid because he's... still McDavid. Him being a defensive specialist for as long as he was (before this year) was nuts too. Best to ever do it.

Another excellent ask - Bourque is the type of player who should be coveted by a lot of teams this offseason. He can play C/W and if he's shifted to center should be pretty comfortable on the defensive side of the puck. Lot to like about his profile.

Someone @ibamboozIe had asked for who I don't know too much about is Hryckowian, who obviously has a bit of inflation thanks to an extremely well-rounded game, but definitely looks like a real long-term piece for the Stars. Another nice find for Nill and co up front.

Someone LeafsNeedGod has been suggesting a good bit as a potential addition as a matchup 3-4C to take minutes off of Matthews is Jason Dickinson and there's a lot to like about the player archetype. He did well for Edmonton and should command ~3.5-4M in UFA.

Byram did a lotttt right offensively for Buffalo this year and was a large part of their ascent from the Atlantic's basement this year. His defensive game still continues to have warts, and he gets played a bit *too* much for a dcore with Dahlin, Power and Samuelsson ahead.

Just posted Pettersson but McTavish is another intriguing buy-low option if Anaheim decides to sell on him this offseason. He hasn't fully developed into the player Anaheim wanted, but he's an extremely talented offensively C who should mould into a good 2C down the line.

Elias Pettersson's fall from grace has been sad to see because he genuinely was one of the best players in the league only a few seasons ago. The thing is, with his age and ability, I don't doubt that he'll be able to return to that form. There's a level of risk involved, however

Zellweger is awesome - should only continue to get better with more icetime and opportunity as a puck-mover. If Anaheim is selling him for whatever reason, he should be #1 on Toronto's buy-list. Has extremely high potential imo.

For both @NotWilly4Hart and @TMLJaysNiners who requested him last week, here's Barrett Hayton, who I think would be a fantastic option as Toronto's 3C. I wonder what the acquisition cost is, but considering his two-way ability and RFA, he's very intriguing for Toronto.

I've updated my center cards this weekend! I now have both centers and dmen available and will take any requests that you guys have (as long as they're in my database)! Here's #LeafsForever Auston Matthews, whose numbers fell off a cliff with Craig Berube last year (naturally).
