Bill Cassidy voted for Biden’s infrastructure bill, one of very few Republicans to do so, and that bill is the source of the $300 million in federal grants now funding the terminal being built over St. Bernard’s objection. He then personally lobbied to secure $74 million and then $226 million from that same bill for this project. He publicly touted both grants when they were awarded.
