If he’d been Muslim, this would have led every news bulletin as a terror attack.
Thirty worshippers were inside the Zainabia Islamic Centre when a petrol bomb was thrown onto the roof. They put out the fire themselves.
These attacks didn’t all happen this week.
They happened years apart. That’s the point. People forgot. Our system doesn’t.
The Women and Equalities Committee’s first-ever inquiry into gendered Islamophobia, published January 2026 (HC 571), documented over 6,000 verified incidents in 2024 — a 165% rise since 2022.
73% of assaults came after the summer riots.
65% targeted women and girls.
The Muslim Women’s Network UK surveyed women before and after the riots. Before — 16% feared for their safety. After — 75%.
Home Office figures show anti-Muslim hate crimes rose 19% last year. Muslims are the target of 44% of all religious hate crimes. Only 6% result in charges.
The government’s Hate Crime Action Plan expired in 2020. No replacement has been published in six years.

A US activist wearing a shirt that reads "Israel kills children" was arrested for "trespassing" after his gym cancelled his membership and called the police.
The man, who said he had been a member of this gym for three years he was detained for one full day by the police before being released.

Just a baby, under a year old, with a badly broken body.
The pressure sores on his body tell a heartbreaking story. He had been lying in the same spot for days, under temperatures exceeding 50°C, unable to move.
No one knows where he came from.

Brexit was a “heinous crime” against the British people, led by Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage and their allies.

⏰ This is an important historical reminder, Churchill’s vision after WW2 was that European nations had to find ways to bind themselves together so that nationalism, rivalry and the cycles of war that devastated the continent would not return.
Heseltine is right, Brexit is a reversal of that post-war understanding: a retreat from collective European strength at a moment when the world is once again becoming more dangerous.

The warnings about trade friction, reduced investment, barriers with our largest market and economic costs were dismissed as “scaremongering”, but those concerns are now reality pulling Britain into decline.
On political accountability, Heseltine asks: where are the people who promised the benefits of Brexit now celebrating its success?
If the promises had been fulfilled:
lower migration, stronger growth, less bureaucracy, a more powerful Britain, one might expect the architects of the project to be loudly claiming victory.
His final point: democracy is not a single frozen moment in 2016. The generations who will live longest with the consequences have the same democratic right to assess the outcome and decide their future direction.
Whatever one’s view of Brexit, how can a medium-sized European country maintain prosperity, influence and security in a world increasingly shaped by continental-sized powers and geopolitical competition.

Last year Mr Justice Johnson granted an early release from jail for far-right Zionist extremist, Tommy Robinson. But he's just sentenced 4 Palestine Action activists as terrorists, even tho they weren't prosecuted for terrorism.
