Being told Ryan Richman, the former Wizards assistant, has signed a deal to become the new head coach of Alvark Tokyo in the Japanese B.League Premier. After leaving Washington to lead SeaHorses Mikawa to three-straight playoff appearances, Richman was sought after by half a dozen teams and a few NBA assistant opportunities before agreeing with Alvark, widely regarded as Asia’s most coveted head coaching position.

The Chicago Bulls are finalizing a deal to hire Orlando Magic assistant GM Stephen Mervis as Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations under new EVP Bryson Graham, sources tell ESPN. Bulls will also hire Brooklyn Nets executive Acie Law as Vice President of Player Personnel.

Early on, when we were younger, I think they needed us a little bit more in terms of direction, in terms of guidance, in terms of some of the stuff we're talking about. Graham spent 15 years in New Orleans before joining Atlanta last offseason, rising from an intern to GM, and now becomes the Bulls top executive.
