It is an honor to put on the blue and white of the Air Force Academy. I am grateful to Coach Crispin and the staff for this opportunity. My family and I are excited to join the program and to be in the Springs! Fly, Fight, Win!

My guy is going to continue to raise the bar for basketball in Japan! Well done Coach!
Being told Ryan Richman, the former Wizards assistant, has signed a deal to become the new head coach of Alvark Tokyo in the Japanese B.League Premier. After leaving Washington to lead SeaHorses Mikawa to three-straight playoff appearances, Richman was sought after by half a dozen teams and a few NBA assistant opportunities before agreeing with Alvark, widely regarded as Asia’s most coveted head coaching position.

Playmaking guards, Bigs crashing the O-glass, and Sam Merrill providing a scoring punch. That’s how Cleveland is exploding on offense in this game 7!

Donovan Mitchell with some terrific rim-reads so far tonight. Helps when the best at that skill is in the gym with you every day, James Harden.

Game 7s typically aren’t high scoring games. Both teams dodging bullets early to limit buckets early: Cleveland in D-Trans, Detroit on the D-glass.

3 lobs already by Cleveland. All within the first 3 minutes of the game. In game reads obviously, but wonder if that was in the scouting report as well.

"Basketball didn't matter, but the basketball team did." This sentence is the essence to everything that is great about the game. This was a great way to spend almost an hour. Truly fantastic writing by Wright Thompson. espn.com/nba/story/_/id/4868…

Mark Daigneault on his relationship with the team: “I got great advice one time. You need to be there when they need you. Early on, when we were younger, I think they needed us a little bit more in terms of direction, in terms of guidance, in terms of some of the stuff we're talking about. As time's gone on, there's been situations where they've needed us less. I think the worst thing you can do in those situations is stifle their autonomy and over-coach their ownership.”

How long has Naz Reid been a practitioner of no-look rim reads? He's out there looking like prime Rockets/Nets Harden with these "Eyes sell Lies" deception tactics.

Man, I’m super pumped for BG. One of the great guys in the business, and was one of the first to respond to me back when I was just trying to find my way. Good things go to good people!
Just in: The Chicago Bulls are hiring Atlanta Hawks senior vice president Bryson Graham as the franchise's new Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, sources tell ESPN. Graham spent 15 years in New Orleans before joining Atlanta last offseason, rising from an intern to GM, and now becomes the Bulls top executive.

Fantastic
Joe Mazzulla with an inspiring message: “Too many times it’s all about winning, winning, winning. You have to surrender to the idea that when you’re going after that you’re gonna fail, we failed by not winning, but we stick to the process of being able to do that.”

Heat Culture is a real thing. It starts with Riley, then Spo, and then his assistant coaches. This is a great video into how they do their jobs day in and day out. youtube.com/watch?v=OloF7kiw…

I’m making edits for our returners to help them visualize their offseason development. Most are from our workouts. Also included are higher level examples of what they are trying to improve on. Here are a few of those examples.

Some of the coaches in this league worry too much about what a players weakness is instead of how can they utilize their talent and skill set to their advantage to help them win the game. Some of the best defense a young player will ever face in the NBA will be from his coach…
“We’ve learned, with [TJ Shannon], he’s gotta have the ball in his hands. Silly me, we played him out of the corner most of the season, but he’s way better with the ball in his hands at the top of the floor” - Chris Finch on TJ Shannon
