I manage a movie theater. Small independent cinema. Teen came in. Bought one ticket. Sat through three movies. Staff wanted to kick him out. I said no. “He’s not bothering anyone.” Happened every weekend. Same kid. All day. Finally approached him. “You really like movies, huh?” He shrugged. “It’s warm. And quiet.” Home wasn’t safe. Stepfather was violent. Theater was his escape. “Come whenever you want. On me.” He came daily. After school. Weekends. I gave him a job. Usher. Minimum wage.

Linda Blair on the condition she put forth before agreeing to star in "Repossessed" (1990)- a spoof of "The Exorcist" (1973): "[I agreed to do it] Because it’s a comedy. It’s a spoof of all occult pictures. Now maybe I can get the monkey off my back. Bob Logan talked me into doing a spoof of ‘The Exorcist’ because he knew I wanted to lay that image to rest. I didn’t want to do it until Carolco Pictures called and asked me what it would take for me to do the film. Bob promised we could do it like ‘The Naked Gun’ (1988) and ‘Airplane!’ (1980). But I would agree only if they got Leslie Nielsen for the priest. They contacted Leslie, who thought the script was hilarious. He agreed to play the role. There’s a subtlety in the name of my character in ‘Repossessed.’ In ‘The Exorcist,’ I played Regan, right? This time, my name is Nancy. Ha!" Paramount is apparently trying to suppress copies of "Only in Monroe" from appearing on other social platforms by filing frivolous copyright notices, even though the show was produced by a public access TV channel and doesn't use their intellectual property...
Just one day after ending "The Late Show" on CBS, Stephen Colbert returned to TV — to host a public access show with rocker Jack White in Monroe, Michigan. Appearances by Jeff Daniels, Eminem and Steve Buscemi.

It wasn't solely because of politics.
Jimmy Hart says he was worried Hulk Hogan would get booed at the RAW Netflix premiere: “I told Hulk before we went. I love you, Hulkster, but I’m gonna tell the truth on this. Here's what happened. He wore a Trump-Vance t-shirt when we did some preach gaga googoo stuff. I said, ‘You know where we’re going? We’re going to California.’ And like I said before, I’m not a Democrat or Republican. I’m just a jabroni. But here’s the deal. I said, ‘I don’t like this’. ‘Jimmy, don’t worry about it.’ I went, ‘Okay’. We get out of the van there, nice town car picks up there. Some fans go, ‘Hulk, we loved you, but you love them. We don’t like you anymore.’ I said ‘Hulk, I don’t feel good about this’. ‘Jimmy, don’t worry about it.’ Okay. We go in the back, but I’m worrying about it. So we’re in the back and Hulk goes, ‘Jimmy Hart, what do you think?’ He’d always ask before we do something. And I just said, ‘No, everything’s good. Everything’s okay’. We do the thing and all of a sudden, ‘Boo!’ And I went, ‘Uh-oh.’ I'm waving the heck out of the flag and it gets more and more and more. And I could see Hulk. I look over there and I'm going, ‘Okay, here we go.’ So we finish it and then we go in the back. Then Hulk calls me next day and goes, ‘Hey, the ratings were good on that segment we did.’ And I said, ‘Well I guess they should be because with all the commotion that happened on it, I guess we should have. But you kept telling me don’t worry about it. Well I was worried about it’. And he goes, ‘Jimmy, look, sometimes you got to do what you got to do. I’ve made my bed and I’ve got to lie in it. That’s who I wanted to vote for. That’s what I wanted to do.’ I knew in my heart going in there might be a catchy thing, but he knew it.” (What Do You Wanna Talk About?)

Wrestlers in these organizations have legitimate arguments for employee status, which if found, would allow them to unionize under the NLRB. Unfortunately, many fear retaliation for supporting unionization. A truly collective approach, however, can serve to diminish such fear.
Kevin Nash has urged WWE stars to unionise and join SAG-AFTRA following TKO pay cuts. "You can’t have it both ways. You can’t play Endeavor at the top with the 300% increases and 1099 the dock workers… If they’re going to play by those rules, let the boys play by the same rules. "Go through Screen Actors Guild. They’ll be more than happy to take their cut of your money. It won’t be 50%, but it’ll change the ball game. Take one of the programs that’s written down and you tell me that that program isn’t more heavily written and more produced than Curb Your Enthusiasm was when all those actors got SAG paid." Let us know if you ever actually become a man. Clearly, you're not "Dana". I wonder how many so-called men named Dana are actually just piles of poo. Probably mostly just this one.
Dana White explains why he hates men's mental health culture "I hate this whole men's mental health stuff that they talk about. Unfortunately, when you're a man, you are the provider, you can't be that guy posting on social media, oh I had a bad day and I'm so sad" "It's unattractive to other males, let alone women"

I don't like to agree with Meltzer on anything, but I absolutely agree with Meltzer on this. I watched the documentary. It didnt reveal anything I didnt already know. Hulk Hogan was a hero with an unmatched legacy in pro-wrestling. Terry Bollea was a lieing racist scab.
Meltzer SHOOTS on Hulk Hogan after watching Netflix doc: "I just despise racism. I can't get past it." He says Hogan had every chance to fall on the sword like he kinda did with the steroids and never took it. Where do you land on his legacy? (source: wrestling observer rado @WONF4W)

i don’t want to hear anyone tell me cm punk isn’t a good guy when he literally went through all the effort of finding where i was sitting just so he could get someone to bring me backstage ALL because he wanted to meet me and congratulate me on a sobriety milestone. the conversation and words i got from punk were the most heartfelt words, i like to keep them to myself to keep it special. but he is one of my biggest supporters fr
cm punk is the nicest guy in the world when you are respectful and allow him to set his boundaries 🤷‍♀️

Trump told you he’d run America like a business. He is. It’s called asset stripping. You sell the profitable pieces, gut the workforce, load it with debt, and walk away rich while everyone else holds the bag. Congratulations. You didn’t elect a president. You hired a liquidator.

Leave the wrestlers be. If you see a wrestler, be polite and respectful of their time. If they tell you to leave, then leave, it's that simple. Where did this weird fan entitlement come from?
Royce Keys shuts down a fan who kept following him around the hotel during WrestleMania weekend. When the fan wouldn’t back off, Royce made it clear: “This is my time, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go.”

The post is absolutely propaganda intended to eliminate public support for social security. My dad died by suicide when I was 6. My 2 brothers and mom and I received social security death benefits until the age of 18. Social Security saved my family and others.
A daughter loses both parents and checks their Social Security. They paid in for DECADES — nearly $1,000,000 combined. Her dad died before seeing a DIME. Her mom received a few short years of checks. They paid their whole lives. A lifetime of deposits for almost NOTHING back.
