A @TorontoPolice officer from @TPS23Div was sent to hospital today after being assaulted and sustaining a laceration while arresting a suspect for theft at a retail store. I’m relieved that the officer was released and is recovering at home. Incidents like this serve as a reminder of the dangers our members can face keeping Toronto safe.
