we are entering the Golden Age for the Elderly. for most of history, getting old meant your body slowly failed and you lost your independence one piece at a time AI is about to change that completely. a Chinese brand just unveiled a robotic toilet on wheels built for elderly and mobility-impaired people you press a button and it uses AI to drive itself across the room to you, steering around furniture on the way it handles waste disposal, warm-water cleaning, and warm-air drying then it cleans itself, runs a UV sterilization cycle, and drives back to its charging dock about $4,000 sounds like a gag, but losing the ability to get to the bathroom on your own is one of the most common reasons people end up in a care home. a $4k machine that solves it lets someone stay in their own house for years longer and that's just the dignity layer. the bigger shift is what AI is doing to aging itself: • catching cancers on routine scans years before a doctor could • powering one-time gene edits that switch off the genes behind heart disease • doubling survival on cancers that used to be a death sentence demis hassabis thinks AI cures most disease within 10 years stack all of that on top of AI-powered robots that handle the physical side of care... and old age becomes the stretch of life where the tech finally caught up to keep you healthy, independent, and at home if you're under 50 and you stay healthy, the version of 80 you're picturing is probably nothing like the 80 you'll actually get
🤣 Chinese brand Yueban has unveiled a smart toilet on wheels With the press of a button, the device drives itself to the user, eliminating the need to walk to the bathroom. The company says it is designed primarily for elderly people and those with limited mobility. After use, the gadget can wash both the user and itself before returning to its docking station for a full self-disinfection cycle. 🎮💻 Somewhere, a gamer just whispered: “Finally.”

Russia to Start Importing Gasoline by Sea from Asia According to Reuters, after repeated strikes on oil refineries, the oil-rich country is already expecting a new shipment of imported fuel from Asian countries in June. Russia is also continuing to buy gasoline from Belarus and Kazakhstan, but those volumes are no longer enough. Signs of fuel shortages have been reported in at least 12 Russian regions. Meanwhile, Russians are trying to figure out what is actually happening. “What kind of famine year is this supposed to be?” one Russian woman wonders while standing in line at a gas station, watching a newly delivered tanker truck load of fuel disappear before her eyes.

Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine is in its fifth year, and many wonder what the endgame looks like. Ukraine has quietly developed a concrete strategy to break the Russian war economy and force an end to the fighting. The core objectives have not changed since the start. Russia wants total control and a demilitarized neighbor. Ukraine refuses to surrender. What has changed is the battlefield dynamic. Ukraine has a serious lack of infantry. However, their decentralized command structure has led to massive innovation. Russia continues to throw men at the front, but they are failing to make meaningful advances. Ukraine's path to victory comes down to a clear, dual-purpose strategy: Goal one is entirely defensive. They must completely halt all Russian advances on the front. Goal two is purely offensive. Ukraine is using a devastating, mid-range strike campaign to crush the Russian war logistics. They are also using long-range drones to hunt down the refineries and defense plants that fund and supply the invasion. If both conditions are met for a sustained period of time, the structural collapse of Russia's war effort becomes inevitable. They simply will not be able to afford the war. Ukraine has proven this concept works. Now it is on Europe to provide the volume through more funding. Ukraine has a massive qualitative edge in drone warfare right now. We need to buy them thousands of mid-range and long-range drones to press this advantage. Stepping up European aid right now is how we end this

SEND THEM BACK. This is the clear message of the Europeans, who are tired of endless rapes and murders in their home countries. The plenary session in Strasbourg today voted in favour of the return regulation, which was engineered by the nationalist parties on the right. The Council and Parliament reached an agreement on the issue, and now it is possible to return illegal migrants more easily to third countries. The screaming of the radical left was music to my ears. They will not stop us.

Hey, look, everyone, here's President Trump with Egyptian President el-Sisi, who, when he was the country's defense minister in 2013, was responsible for the Rabaa Massacre in Cairo, in which close to 1,000 pro-democracy protesters were killed. Weirdly, none of the people who falsely claim that Israel is committing genocide have a single word to say about this.
Trump on Egyptian President el-Sisi: "He was in a hotel and I met him. We fell in love, deeply in love ... we didn't know each other before that. We had great chemistry, and I stayed twice as long as I was supposed to."

Awful. First he betrays the Iranian people. Then he genuflects to the cruel dictators who oppress them.

😏 Remember the elite G8 club, where Russia once had a seat at the table? Russia is gone. And now, at summits of the world’s leading democracies, it’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy who stands alongside global leaders. From the G8 to isolation — that’s quite a journey.

In Russia, a flight to Moscow made an emergency landing in Yaroslavl due to a fuel shortage. "We're being kept in inhumane conditions. They crammed both flights into this tiny waiting room and aren't giving us water or food. Nobody is coming out to speak to people," passengers complain. Flying in Russia is now going to be a Russian roulette - you never know whether the plane has enough fuel to reach its destination.
Today's Ukrainian strike on the Moscow oil refinery needs to be viewed not as a single attack at one more Russian oil refinery but as part of a systemic Ukrainian campaign against Moscow's fuel infrastructure - Ukrainian expert Serhii Misiura. Ukrainian strikes within the last month happened in various places across Russia: ports, reservoir parks, oil depots, export infrastructure, objects in Crimea, in the Baltics and the south of Russia. Although pressure on Russia's oil industry in general is necessary and a positive event, the main goal is now seen more clearly: Moscow. Strikes on Volodarskaya Line Production and Dispatch Station, Solnechnogorsk Oil Pumping Station and the Moscow oil refinery essentially became the turning point in this campaign. The target is Moscow Ring Oil Product Pipeline, a unique pipeline system more than 400 km long that provides Moscow with fuel. Moscow oil refinery is one of the key objects of this system. It refines over 10 million tons of oil per year and covers up to 70% of Moscow and Moscow region's needs for fuel. The refinery controls about 35-40% of Moscow's fuel market. Basically, about 30% of cars in Moscow use gas or diesel from this plant. The Moscow Ring Oil Product Pipeline is also crucial for aviation - it is used to deliver fuel to the largest airports in the area, including Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports. Any disruptions in the system create additional risks for all logistics in the region (and it's important to note that many Russian cargo routes go through Moscow airports). Moscow's oil ring is not autonomous. It depends on supplies from large oil refineries and external pumping stations. Hence, Ukrainian strikes on various oil infrastructure objects in different regions of Russia are starting to form a clear picture. Ukraine is executing consistent and systemic pressure on critical supply nodes of the Russian oil infrastructure. If the Ukrainian strategy continues, for Russia, this will mean not just problems with oil exports or fuel shortages in the Russian regions - this will directly influence Moscow city.
