TEACH Grants are a type of federal grant available to students enrolled in a TEACH-Grant-eligible program.
Students who are enrolled full-time can be awarded up to $4,000 each year, up to a maximum of $16,000 for undergraduate study or maximum of $8,000 for graduate study to help pay for their education. Your school will confirm amounts you qualify for each year.
In exchange for receiving a TEACH Grant, you must complete a service obligation after graduating. This includes:
serving as a full-time teacher for four elementary or secondary school years at a school or educational service agency that serves low-income students;
teaching in a high-need field; and
completing the required four years of teaching within eight years after you graduate.
