Ample rainfall over the last month has led to normal to above normal streamflow levels in rivers across much of the eastern half of Texas. This latest round of rainfall this last weekend resulted in minor river flooding on the Trinity River in North Texas. #txflood

The map for conditions as of 6/2 shows drought contraction of 7 or more percentage pts for the 2nd consecutive week. The drought contraction was driven by improvements in South & West Tx & has reduced the total drought area to its smallest extent in 2026. bit.ly/TexasWaterWeekly
