Before COVID, if you had told me antidepressants cause mass shootings I wouldn't have believed you. It turns out their trials showed the drugs caused psychotic violence (e.g. suicides) but the industry hid that from the public until lawsuits revealed it. midwesterndoctor.com/p/the-e…

It's unacceptable that ANY patient should travel to a malaria risk area without appropriate prophylaxis. It's within the power of any MD to prescribe an appropriate regimen. Patients may not comply, but malaria is preventable and you don't want to be the doc who gets it wrong.

Malaria in travelers is almost invariably associated with not being on appropriate prophylaxis. That may mean the patient doesn't seek care or comply with care, or it may mean prophylaxis was not prescribed correctly. Either way, it is almost invariably preventable.

Moreover, these days malarone is at least somewhat covered by insurance and it's cheaper than in past decades. It's extremely well tolerated (i.e. toxicity comparable to placebo), and only has to be taken for a week after travel.

Can we please please get some support for using malarone for pregnant travelers instead of mefloquine? Pregnancy is a big malaria risk factor as it is, and using a drug with toxicity and elevated self-discontinuation rates is bad news. @US_FDA @CDCgov

I know MANY doctors, nurses, medics and soldiers unwilling to speak of the dangers they’ve witnessed regarding COVID vaccines and COVID protocols. These people know the system is murdering innocent people. Yet they have told me they’re too scared to speak because they don’t want to lose their paychecks. Their jobs. This makes me angry and hurt. The hard fact of the matter is, COVID didn’t kill our moms, dads, kids and grandma, our collective cowardice is. God bless
