This was my original account & why I created it. My girl. My always. For now, as a disabled person, my voice is needed for my community. We are facing far more struggles, demonisation & hate crimes. Please stick around. Will always love the dog content & your pups. Thank you!
I started this account as a tribute to my girl, my always, who I’m lost without. And to share the love I have for dogs with others like yourselves. To support others in their happiness, charity needs, your pet grief, or simply sharing moments of dog joy. Dogs are the best of us.

This video is infuriating to watch. Absolutely zero reason for TSA to ask a wheelchair user to stand for this search, and why it was so perplexing to them an arm support might have metal in it… 🤦🏼‍♀️ And now this young man is enduring over 30 silent seizures and suffering horrendously for something they should have done with him sitting in his wheelchair. Vince “Fresh the DJ” Colston should never have been put through this. There’s also a follow up from Vince’s mother Lisa under this video from the OP.
Airport security force wheelchair bound disabled Black man to stand—unaided on feet for many minutes. He's now suffered over 30 silent seizures—in just the past 2 weeks. "I was afraid they would just see an angry Black dude with dreadlocks... and not a brain injury," said mom. "He was very upset, so if you see another video of me in his face it was just me trying to calm him down." Airport security offered no explanation for the search not being allowed in his wheelchair—and even called over a supervisor. Vince "Fresh The Dj" Colston suffered a traumatic brain injury with paralysis on one side of his body—after being hit by a car while riding his motorcycle. This caused severe mobility impairments that make him wheelchair dependent. The incident occurred at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada.

*Be aware that there are some people on social media who claim to be disabled/in receipt of PIP or can't access it but are not. They are using it as a shield in their attacks on others. There also bots. We expect dark money is also being deployed on social media to attack welfare

Most of the disinformation I see, comes from politicians. Mainly Reform, but Conservative and Labour MPs are no better. The ableist lies and smears of vulnerable disabled people and SEND children, needs to stop. You should start with your own disinformation first.
Disinformation has the power to seriously harm our democracy. The government has said it wants to combat disinformation, and is taking steps to do so. But the we think it should be going further and doing more 🧵

As a disabled person these threats from politicians terrify me as there is such a lack of awareness of what equality means in practice for disabled people, and how we make that a reality. Heaven knows what outcomes there would be if such legislation was repealed.
There seems a fashion on the right of politics to say repealing the Equality Act would be a good thing. They don’t say what precise consequences would flow or what they intend to do to prevent adverse consequences. Why then do people mindless cheer on such superficial thinking?

Yesterday, some hard truths for hardcore Assisted Dying campaigners from both the Government and supporters. 1. An MP in the ballot picking up this Bill, has very little chance of success. They'd be wasting their slot...1/

We want disabled people to work but we will strip them of the rights that enable this . Good thinking …. Top minds thought this up

“Financial entitlements” amount to very little. In fact, the extra costs associated with being disabled outweighs the support, considerably. As the OP rightly points out, even getting a referral for their child to a service which can diagnose them is very hard. It is not easy. And no children are conning psychologists into believing they are autistic/ADHD 🙄
This saddens me. GPs are not allowed to diagnose autism in the UK. Many parents struggle to get a referral let alone meaningful paediatric access or CAHMS access. A reminder- suicide is the primary cause of early death of autistic children. This debate must stop.

Using a newly created troll account to pretend to be disabled isn’t it. Not saying who’s behind it, but this isn’t new to us. Troll accounts will often claim to be a disabled person and then use ableist slurs and insulting disabilities. As I said - this isn’t new.

TW: Suicide The death of David Panther is the latest tragedy to be linked with universal credit. Almost no-one appears to be paying attention to these deaths and the growing evidence of harm, particularly to those with mental distress #UniversalCredit #DWP disabilitynewsservice.com/un…

One of the grimmest political tricks of the last 15 years has been convincing the public that disabled people are a bigger economic threat than tax avoidance, private outsourcing failures, or housing costs.

I’ve been an activist since the poll tax, and one lesson never changes: if they split us, they win. Please don’t undermine other disabilities.

Just pointing out this brand new account is using AI and how horrifying that actually is… Most don’t seem to spot it is AI. There’s a post about turning comments off because of replies about “his appearance” but they’ve been off the entire time and no replies are there. 1/
Every piece I create tells a story of patience, passion, and perseverance. The process isn't always easy, but seeing people enjoy my art makes it worth it. Thank you for your support 🙏

“How do we help change your life?” he asks. But Pat McFadden doesn’t actually care about the answer. Unless the answer is “put disabled people who cannot work into work.” How about disabled people get the same £40k Pat gets to rent the house next door to his first home just to be “closer to work”? No. Of course not. Because disabled people deserve fuck all except contempt and demonisation from this lot, right? And unless they’re willing to fund the NHS properly and stop pandering towards private healthcare related party donors, the number of disabled people needing benefits will only go up. They WON’T change our lives in the way we want and need. The government already made their minds up that we aren’t worth the bare minimum. Let alone proper healthcare and adequate benefits. 🙄
As I often say in interviews and in the Department, "we have to change the question the system asks from "what benefits are you entitled to" to "how do we help you change your life". From BBC PM programme...last Thursday (28 May).

When @patmcfaddenmp wants to use PIP to ask "how do we help change your life", implies that disabled people are doing life wrong, and that all disabilities (including chronic illnesses can be "overcome") which just isn't true. Lots of people will need continuing support.

Helen Whately being wrong again 🤦🏼‍♀️ This is getting boring, at this point. Why are people like her able to keep their jobs when she’s so incompetent and can’t fact check a single thing? Plus all we pay her in salary, rent, bills etc 🙄 The increase in UC claimants aren’t new claims. They’re people being migrated over from legacy benefits like ESA. The DWP confirms this. x.com/dwpgovuk/status/205419…

There are half a million more people on sickness benefits since Labour came to office. Their answer: water down the assessments. Wrong response. I tell @thetimes 👇

No, because it’s literally not possible to make cards that would cover the range of services and necessities disabled people have to spend their money on every month. For all those wondering why Jeremy Vine has an obsession for punching down on disabled people, it’s to cover his own tax evading grift. He doesn’t want you all focusing on tax evaders and those who do dodgy shit like making their 10 year old daughter a share holder to get around paying their fair share… Read below and share. He should be accountable.
Should benefit claimants be given ration cards instead of cash? Chris Philp says the Conservatives would give out ration cards to criminals on benefits to stop them from gambling and buying alcohol. He said it's worth considering for all claimants. What do you think?

Why can MPs claim 5x child benefit per child? These benefits are unaffordable.

Meanwhile, @labour has halved the income of LCWRA, trying to remove income from disabled and vulnerable people on PIP, and wants to remove income from vulnerable young adults. All the while telling them to get a job that doesn't exist. But we're sure a few quid off a theme park will help 🙄#CareNotCuts
Labour promised to help families with the cost of living this summer. The Chancellor has slashed VAT to help families with the cost of meals, travel and family activities. Labour is on the side of families. Change is happening. Promise made. Promise delivered.
