I COULD NOT explain what I am feeling better than what these two humans have shared. While I am so thankful to occupy this space of activism, a part of me longs to “just be a scientist.”
But this is all bigger than me, && I will fight for as long as it is needed.

Thanks for asking me to join the DEI committee/teaching you about DEI.
I am busy creating a conference for minorities, writing a paper on conference experiences of minorities, and writing two papers on how best to teach minorities.
Ask somebody else, perhaps a white male.
