Quite a few Denton-area baseball players were recognized among the top players in their respective districts as part of all-district teams.
Sanger senior Twister Wilson and Aubrey senior Diego Tagliaferro earned some of the top honors locally.

Sanger ISD has promoted assistant coach Ashley Hedrick to be its next head softball coach.
Hedrick was an assistant for the last three years under Toby Kloewer, who is stepping down from the role to spend more time with his family.

Sanger advanced to its first baseball regional semifinal in more than 40 years with Saturday’s 3-1 win over Alvarado.
The Indians haven't gone past the regional quarters since at least 1983, the earliest year of full brackets in the UIL archives.
