What a difference it makes when you live… The suited photo was of a workaholic, unhealthy me, who worked 60-70 hours every week, who failed to notice he was carrying just 50% of the red blood cells he should have, lived on diet coke, couldn’t sleep, was 3 stone heavier than today, had dark circles permanently propping up his eyes, and had lost perspective on what was important.
The more relaxed version of me has found balance. I walk/run 10km EVERY day, I drop my children at school, put them to bed at night, eat breakfast and regular meals, take holidays, step away from my desk when I need a break, and drink water…
I am not less productive, not less successful (whatever your measure of that may be). I simply took a break and realised that I was killing myself. I remembered what is important. I remembered how to live.
I encourage you to take time to look in the mirror and ask yourself if you’re living the life you want to live, or driving yourself into an early grave…. and I’m here if you need me.
