Player of the game: Lakeevis Hunt by way of Almeta Crawford HS in Houston. Was a starter on the TX 4A state runner-up Crawford 2026 basketball team.
I first saw Hunt in week 1 at Seal Beach, and seeing him here in Bryan in week 6, he’s already taken a step forward as a player.

Lakeevis Hunt of @TeamMindsetTx 17U is quite the two-way player. He splits time between playing point and as an off ball guard, and he thrives in both roles.
On offense, Hunt has deep range, already hitting an nba-range three in this game off a kickout. He also is a skilled playmaker who can get downhill and make the correct decision, both finishing tough layups and hitting the corner for open threes.
What I like most about Hunt is just how much passion he brings. He is tough, fearless, and always brings the energy in his matchups.
