Learning doesn't stop when the school year ends!
Even during the summer months, Newton County Schools offers a variety of camps and enrichment opportunities that allow students to explore new interests, build new skills, and continue learning in engaging ways.
Today, we're highlighting the EmpowerHER Innovation Camp 2026 for rising 4th-6th grade female students.
During the week-long camp, participants explored virtual reality using VR headsets, learned how to pilot drones through obstacle courses, designed and coded robots for a fashion show, and even built their own stages for the final showcase. The camp blended technology, creativity, engineering, and teamwork while giving students hands-on experiences that encouraged innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving.
From virtual reality and drones to coding and robotics, students spent the week discovering new possibilities, building confidence, and exploring future pathways in STEM-related fields.
Check out some of the highlights from an incredible week of learning, creativity, and innovation!
