While most people see a road, entrepreneurs see possibilities. This morning's walk reminded me that every major project starts the same way: An idea. A conversation. A relationship. A decision to act. Have a great day everyone. #FounderLife #Zimbabwe #MorningMotivation

🏁🌍 That's a wrap on the #AfricaImpactSummit 2026! Two days of conversations, connections and practical lessons on what it actually takes to unlock capital for sustainable development across Africa. A few takeaways that will stay with me: 💡 Ecosystem building is a marathon, not a sprint. 🔍 Start by diagnosing the real market failure—not just assuming the problem is "lack of capital." 🤝 Capital can price risk, but it struggles with uncertainty—predictable policies and trusted institutions matter. 🏦 Domestic capital is the next frontier, from pension funds to insurers and local investors. 🚀 The challenge isn't finding opportunities—it's moving them from concept ➡️ investment readiness ➡️ bankable structures ➡️ deployable capital. 📊 Impact measurement should drive decisions, not just reporting. 🛠️ Technical assistance works best when it's entrepreneur-led, locally grounded and demand-driven. 🌱 SMEs need more than money: systems, governance, market access and post-investment support matter. 🏭 Africa doesn't lack ideas or talent—the challenge is turning innovation into industries and industries into jobs. 💼 Emerging fund managers are a critical bridge between investors and the "missing middle." 🧪 Less talk, more experimentation: test what works, learn quickly and scale what delivers results. Perhaps the biggest takeaway of all: Africa's challenge isn't simply mobilizing more capital. It's building the ecosystems, institutions and partnerships that allow capital to flow where it can create the greatest impact. Now to translate these insights into action! 🇿🇼🌍🚀 #ImpactInvesting #CatalyticCapital #Africa

Young women and youth are key drivers of Zimbabwe's economic transformation. Today, @UNDPZimbabwe & partners convened the #ECoWYERT Country Scan Validation Workshop to gather stakeholder insights that will help strengthen opportunities for youth and women-led MSMEs to participate in regional trade under the #AfCFTA.

📊🌍 That’s a wrap for Day 1 of the #AfricaImpactSummit! Key message: investment opportunities do not become investments automatically. They need to be mapped, prioritized, supported with technical assistance, packaged into bankable structures, de-risked through guarantees or catalytic capital, and connected to the right investors. 🚀🤝 That is how opportunities move from concept ➡️ readiness ➡️ structure ➡️ capital. #ImpactInvesting #Africa #FinanceForDevelopment

When partnerships yield tangible results! We were excited to visit Mutoko Horticulture Cluster as well as the WESRP Peas Pilot, being run by Nyahunure Community Organization (@nyahunure) ZimTrade, along with the @NLinZimbabwe, @CAID_Zimbabwe, and @kumindafresh, is spearheading export-ready pea production, supplying inputs, developing clusters, and allowing smallholder farmers to create sustainable livelihoods through exports. Just three weeks after planting, all groups exhibited a healthy, uniform crop stand, excellent field management practices, and well-maintained production sites. More importantly, the farmers proudly shared how they are working collectively to make the pilot a success, with women taking a leading role in production while being actively supported by men, demonstrating the power of inclusive and community-driven agricultural development. 🌱🤝
