It’s a surreal moment seeing your journey and your "why" captured in an article. Some days you're so deep in the work—the code, the strategy, the wins, the setbacks—that you don't come up for air. Today is a day to breathe and reflect with a deep sense of gratitude. A huge thank you to @MaijaEhlinger and the entire @Hypepotamus team for taking the time to truly understand our story. You captured the heart of what we’re trying to build with @TheSparkyAI!: a better, more transparent, and more human way to leverage AI. But I need to be clear: this isn't a story about me. It’s a story about "us." This journey is only possible because of the brilliant and dedicated team I get to work with every day including our incredible interns are the real architects of our success. And we are guided by a wonderful group of advisors who offer their wisdom at every turn. Our team extends far beyond our office walls. The phrase "it takes a village" couldn't be more true for a startup, and Atlanta's village is second to none. •@ATLTechVillage: You truly are the "rocket fuel" the article mentioned. Thank you for the incredible environment to grow. •@TAGthink (TAG): Your belief in us as a "Top 10 Most Innovative Company" was a major catalyst. •@VentureAtlanta: The showcase experience was a game-changer and an honor. •@StartupAtlanta: Thank you for celebrating and championing the next wave of innovators through the awards. •@GoogleCloud for Startups: Your support has been fundamental to our technical journey. •Fellow Founders: To everyone I've leaned on for advice and shared a coffee with—thank you for your generosity and friendship. This article is an incredible milestone, but it’s really a testament to the power of this community. It’s this ecosystem of support that makes Atlanta such an incredible place to build and grow a company. Thank you all for being a part of our story. We’re just getting started. bit.ly/4oABWme #Grateful #StartupLife #AtlantaTech #AI #Hypepotamus #InnovATL

Very cool to see @demishassabis having a conversation with Greek PM @kmitsotakis about the future of AI, ethics, and democracy. While I wasn't present for the event, what's super cool is this very modern and futuristic conversation happening in such a historical setting.

This one is for the team. The grinders, the builders, the believers. Absolutely thrilled to share that @TheSparkyAI! has been named a 2025 Finalist for Best B2B Startup at the Atlanta Startup Awards! 🎉 When you see that nearly 250 incredible companies were nominated, and the judges narrowed it down to just 45 finalists, it really hits home. This is a huge honor. 🙏 But an honor like this doesn't happen in a vacuum. It’s a direct reflection of the relentless passion and brilliant work our team pours into our platform every single day. I'm endlessly proud to be building alongside them. 💪 A massive thank you to Startup Atlanta for this recognition and for championing our city's vibrant tech ecosystem. This isn't just a nod to us; it's a testament to the world-class innovation happening all across our city. And a huge congratulations to the other finalists in the Best B2B Startup category and across all nine categories. We're in truly amazing company. 👏 Onward! 🚀 #ATLStartupAwards #InnovATL #B2B #StartupLife #AtlantaTech atlantastartupawards.com/202…

In behavioral science, there’s a bias called the Illusion of Validity: the tendency to overestimate our own judgment, especially when we’re confident in the data or pattern we think we see. This week, I fell right into it. I made a decision that, in my head, checked all the boxes. It felt logical and even obvious. But a teammate spoke up and said, “I think we’re missing something.” They spotted a blind spot I didn’t. And they were right. It cost us a bit of time, but it saved us from a costly miss. That moment reminded me why we built @theSparkyAI! the way we did: • To check our instincts before they hit the market. • To test our ideas against real behavioral signals, not just gut feel. • To make sure what feels “right” is actually right for the audience. In startups, speed matters. But so does the humility to let the data, or the right person, slow you down. #Leadership #StartupLife #BehavioralScience #PsychologicalSafety #Founders #SparkyAI

Fellow Founders: Don’t build for the fantasy customer you hope to have. Build for the one paying today. Scaling the wrong thing is worse than not scaling at all. Nail the experience for your current users → then go bigger. #startups #productstrategy #ExecutionMatters

The moment that made me the proudest this week wasn’t the metrics. It was this one message. And it wasn’t even about the product. We’ve been sprinting. Pushing out new features. Talking to investors. And in the middle of it, one of our team members sent me a message: "I’ve never felt this valued in a startup before. You actually listen. You make space." I read it twice. Because in the noise of traction and tech and timelines, it reminded me why I started this. Not just to build smart tools. But to build a company that feels different. That creates space for people to show up whole and to do work that matters. Metrics matter. But moments like this are priceless. Because culture isn’t what you write in a doc. It’s how people feel when they work with you. What’s one message you’ve received that reminded you it’s all worth it? #startup #moments #inthemiddle #teammember

🛠 Behind the Scenes at @TheSparkyAI Theme: “That’ll only take 10 minutes,” and other things I tell myself. What happened: This week, I blocked off 30 minutes to “quickly” finalize a case study, update some onboarding copy, and prep a team brief. Nothing major. Just small stuff. Two hours later, we were still discussing as a team. What it revealed: Tiny tasks are rarely tiny. Especially in a startup where every word, pixel, and decision reflect what we really believe. The smallest details demand clarity of strategy - and clarity takes time. We also realized how often teams underestimate this together. "Let’s just tweak it" often means: “We don’t have alignment yet.” What we did: We took a beat to reframe how we scope work. We now flag “quick” tasks as red flags. If it’s small but sensitive (brand voice, customer-facing copy, strategic positioning), it gets more structure, not less. What others might relate to: Startups run on velocity. But rushing the “easy stuff” can quietly drain your momentum. It’s the micro-decisions - the copy, the case study, the UX label - that shape how your company feels to others. The irony? We built SparkyAI! to solve this. To give teams confidence faster, using synthetic focus groups and behaviorally intelligent feedback - before spending hours on stuff that doesn’t land. So, this was a good reminder: 🔁 Fast content ≠ fast clarity. 🧠 Thinking is part of the work. ⚡ Insight > speed. Curious: what’s something “tiny” that ended up way bigger than expected for you? —Ted Founder & CEO, SparkyAI! #BehindTheScenes #StartupLife #AIWithHeart

I’ve decided to start capturing the lessons I’m picking up from other founders - the stuff that sticks, challenges me, or changes how I think. This is the latest one in a series of reflections I’m calling “Founders Who Spark ⚡": Great companies don’t just tell great stories: they live them. This week, I caught up with a founder friend who hit pause on their Series A. Not because they didn’t believe in their business - but because they realized they were selling a version of it that wasn’t true yet. He told me: “We were pitching what we hoped we’d become, not what we’ve proven. And that’s not how you build trust.” That stuck with me. At @TheSparkyAI, we’ve got big ambition: to become the most trusted AI platform for human-grade content that connects. We’ve filed two patents. We’ve built and launched a behavioral-science powered AI engine. And early results are strong and promising. We’re also early. We’re learning fast, building lean, and telling a story that’s rooted in what we’ve actually built - not just where we’re going. Here’s what I’ve been reminded of this week: ✅ Vision matters. Traction builds belief. ✅ Transparency earns trust, especially in early-stage investing. ✅ A clear-eyed path beats a sugar-coated pitch. If you’re an investor looking for grounded, high-potential companies building in a space that’s exploding (AI marketing behavioral science) - we should talk. We're not just building tech that scales. We're building a company that endures. Let’s connect. Ted Founder & CEO, SparkyAI!

Speed is great. But certainty? That’s what sells. Everyone’s talking about #AI content creation: how fast, how much, how automated. The Truth: fast content that flops still costs you time, money, and brand equity. That’s why we built one of the only patent-pending Synthetic Focus Group engines on the market. In the “olden days” (or just a few years ago), focus groups took months and cost a fortune. Now? With @TheSparkyAI you can skip the line and stay confident your content will resonate. ⚡ Instant, predictive feedback - before you publish. ⚡ No panels. No waiting. No hefty price tag. ⚡ Backed by behavioral science. Powered by AI. We’re proud to be one of the few globally with this capability: ✅ 2 US patents filed to protect our method ✅ Real-world results: 2x faster sales, 3x open rates, 78% PPC ROI It’s like having your own custom audience panel: on demand, at the speed of AI. Do you want to be confident that your content is both fast AND relevant? Drop a “⚡” or DM me for a quick walkthrough. ________________________________________ Built by marketers. Powered by science. Balancing founder life and personal life this week looked like… …promising we’d have dinner together, and texting “give me 30 more minutes” (twice). …showing up physically but realizing my mind somewhere else. …pushing forward, even when a pause might have served me better. The trade-off? I got a lot done. But I didn’t slow down long enough to always be fully present. And here’s what I learned: - Doing is addictive. But without pausing, we miss the signal beneath the noise. -Some of the most important insights don’t come from output, but from stillness. This week reminded me: progress without pause isn’t sustainable. Next week, I’ll protect the pause. What’s one thing you’re trying to protect next week? #sparkyAI #startuplife #progressandpause #buildingwithintention

What I Learned from Another Founder This Week: Cathy Huyghe (and from a few glasses of rosé 🍷) One of the things I love most about building @theSparkyAI is the unexpected magic that happens when smart, passionate people come together - not just to talk about business, but to connect as humans. Last week, @Elena Pinakatt and I had the chance to sit down with Cathy Huyghe, founder of Enolytics. We talked about wine, data, behavioral signals, and what it really takes to move someone to action. But what stayed with me most wasn’t the data (although it's great), it was how naturally our conversation flowed from metrics to meaning, from technology to trust. Cathy reminded me that whether you’re building a company or curating a wine experience, it all comes down to the same thing: knowing your audience and caring enough to connect with them in a way that resonates. We’ll find ways to collaborate, I’m sure. But the friendship, the shared spark - that’s what I’m most excited about. Here’s to more founders who lead with empathy. And to the rosé that brings us together. ✨ #ConnectionIsCurrency #SparkyAI #Enolytics #LetTheSparksFly

Innovation isn't just about technology. It's about the people who refuse to accept the status quo. I want to talk about hard work and determination. More specifically, about my friends, Bryan and Chris. They saw a situation at a construction site that was untenable: trespassers were entering a dangerous building, and the only solution involved calling in armed officers because it was too risky for anyone else. It was inefficient and unsafe for all involved. Many would see that as someone else's problem to solve. But for them, it was a call to action. It became the spark for an idea: what if they could create a solution that truly enhances safety, respects human values, and makes everyone's job easier? That's how Undaunted was born. They poured their energy into creating a world-class platform that uses #robotics and #AI to secure locations in a way that is faster, safer, and more humane. The results speak for themselves: response times are now under 2 minutes, and incidents are incredibly rare. An idea can come from anywhere, but it takes relentless drive to turn it into a reality. Who on your team has that relentless drive? Give them a shout-out below!

Behavioral Science Made Me Buy a $49 Spatula (again). Here’s Why That Matters. Ever bought something just because there were only 2 left in stock? Yeah… me too. But that little “Only 2 remaining” warning? It lights up my lizard brain like a Christmas tree. That’s behavioral science in action. In a world where everyone is using AI tools, Behavioral science is the new unfair advantage. Because it explains how humans actually make decisions. People don't click because your subject line was "clever." They click because you triggered curiosity, urgency, or identity. They don’t buy because your copy “converted.” They buy because it mirrored how they think and what they fear. Most AI content misses the secret layer: The why behind the what. At @TheSparkyAI, we embedded 75 behavioral principles into the content generation process - so we don’t just create content at scale. We create content that connects because it gets people. ✅ 3 Behavioral Triggers That Work in Almost Every Funnel: 1.Loss Aversion: People fear missing out more than they crave gain. 2.Social Proof: Show people like them have already said yes. 3.Cognitive Ease: The easier it is to read, the more likely it is to work. Want to make your content feel human again? Start with the psychology, not the prompt. #behavioralscience #sparkyai

5 Things I Learned Building @TheSparkyAI! Building a #startup from scratch is part adrenaline, part existential crisis—and all in. If you're in the thick of it too, here are 5 lessons that stuck with me: 1. You can’t outsource conviction. There will be 100 opinions on what to build, pitch, price, or prioritize. But only you can carry the belief that this thing needs to exist. 2. Build for the human, not the hype. The AI world is noisy. But no one wants more noise. They want meaning. We win not by being louder, but by being more relevant. 3. Don’t pitch products. Pitch possibility. Investors, partners, even early customers don’t just want to hear what it does, but what it unlocks. 4. Be scrappy. Our first “synthetic focus group” prototype was duct-taped behind the scenes. But we put it in front of people. Their reaction? “This changes everything.” That’s when we knew we had something. 5. Culture is the product before the product. Startups are built by humans, not code. The way your team thinks, collaborates, and recovers from the hard days is your first product. If you’re building right now - keep going. If you’re doubting - totally normal. And if you ever want to talk shop, I’m always happy to share more mistakes. Here’s to building with heart, not just hustle.

Still buzzing from last week at @AtlantaTechWeek and @RenderATL 🔥 The energy was unreal - and we were proud to be part of it. SparkyAI! had its own booth on site, and it became more than just a demo zone - it became a conversation hub. We talked about behavioral science, content that actually converts, and what the future of AI marketing could look like (hint: more human, less robotic). Truly inspiring to meet so many fellow founders, builders, and bold thinkers shaping what’s next. The community here is on fire. Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by. If we missed you, let’s fix that - DM me and we’ll give you the inside tour. #AtlantaTechWeek #RenderATL #SparkyAI #BehavioralScience

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Turns out, it takes one to win a pitch on less than 24 hours' notice, too. What a week it’s been for the @TheSparkyAI team, and it’s only Wednesday. We got a call Monday morning about an incredible last-minute opportunity: a spot in the @ventureatlanta Pitchfest on Tuesday evening. The challenge was immense, but our belief in what we're building is bigger. I’m THRILLED to announce that we pulled it off and we won a “fast pass” qualifier for Venture Atlanta 2025! For those who don't know, Venture Atlanta is a MASSIVE deal. Last year, 630 companies applied for just 88 spots. So, to be selected as one of the first four through this Pitchfest, representing the amazing ecosystem at @ATLTechVillage, is something our whole team is incredibly proud of. My biggest lesson so far this week is a powerful reaffirmation: your community is one of your greatest competitive advantage. This win belongs to the entire Atlanta tech ecosystem that has supported us. Our success was built on the confidence of others, and we owe a few thank yous: 💡 To Atlanta Tech Village: Your belief in us to fill this spot at the last second means the world. Thank you for being the ultimate launchpad. 💡 To @googlestartups, and specifically the Atlanta @googlecloud team: Your continued support is a huge part of our journey. Thank you for always being in our corner. 💡 To Venture Atlanta & @AtlantaTechWeek: Thank you for the platform and for showcasing the best of our region's talent. 💡 To the Panel of Judges: We appreciate your time, expertise, and challenging questions. 💡 To the other 7 companies: The bar was incredibly high. It was an honor to share the stage and hear your stories. This is what a supportive ecosystem looks like in action. We can't wait to share our story and our vision for the future of marketing with the investors and attendees at Venture Atlanta on October 15-16 at The Woodruff Arts Center. Who in your "village" has helped you seize a key opportunity? Tag them below!
