✦ A remarkable milestone for the exhibit 𝑇𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑁𝐹𝑇 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑 𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 — @ooe_art has officially acquired 15 @TeleNFT teletext works from the current presentation — each created in native World System Teletext Level 1 and broadcast on German and Austrian national TV.
❖ First unveiled at @artontezos_ Berlin, 𝑇𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑁𝐹𝑇 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑 𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 preserves a rapidly disappearing media language on-chain; a bridge between broadcast history and blockchain permanence.
A huge congratulations to the artists and the TeleNFT collective — and to OÖ Kultur for expanding institutional recognition of teletext-based digital art.

🖥️🥳 Our latest acquisition brings 15 authentic TeleNFT teletext artworks into the museum’s collection - first unveiled at Art in Tezos in Berlin and broadcast via teletext on ORF and ARD.
Created between 2022 and 2025 in native World System Teletext Level 1, these works distill global events into 78×69 pixels and 7-bit color — preserving teletext aesthetics fully on-chain.
The international TeleNFT collective responds to technology and crisis with pieces ranging from quiet resignation to exuberant optimism. Each work asks, in its own way: where do we go from here?
Every artwork includes its original broadcast data, securing teletext art for the long term. Earlier TeleNFT collections were shown at Ars Electronica Festival and NFT Linz, becoming the first crypto art in the Francisco Carolinum’s permanent holdings.

The older frens among us might remember teletext art. Until now, it was broadcasted and then gone forever unless someone recorded a VHS tape. @TeleNFT stores teletext art fully on chain on tezos and many works are already part of museum collections.

@TeleNFT transforms teletext, one of the oldest digital broadcast systems, into a living art medium.
What once carried news and subtitles on analog TV screens now hosts contemporary artworks - fully on-chain teletext art broadcasted on teletext across Europe.
Its guiding principle comes from Marshall McLuhan’s phrase “The Medium is the Massage” - a printing error that McLuhan embraced for its layered meaning. The “massage” suggests how media doesn’t just deliver messages, but shapes our senses, habits, and emotions.
Teletext’s low resolution, its flickering colors, its limits of 78×69 pixels - all of it massages perception. It slows us down, making us feel technology instead of just using it, revealing how emotion, critique, and beauty can emerge even from the simplest digital code.
In that friction between old systems and new networks, TeleNFT finds a poetic space where digital art, mass media, and human experience converge. Founded by @UzupisMUC and @musicalblockchn, TeleNFT connects generations of media: from the golden age of teletext to the new digital avant-garde.
