Yesterday, alongside my fellow nominees to the
@NgComCommission Board, I was screened by the Senate Committee on Communications, chaired by Senator Ikra Bilbis. I thank the Almighty Allah for guidance and grace. I am grateful to the Senators and House of Representative members for a rigorous session and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
@officialABAT for the trust and responsibility. The Committee made its expectations clear. Nigerians deserve quality service and universal coverage. We understand the assignment and, upon confirmation and resumption, we are committed to delivering to the best of our collective abilities. So help us God.
My heartfelt thanks to Distinguished Senator Tokunbo Abiru for his kind attestations to my character and competence. Special appreciation to my wife, children, parents, sisters, brothers, and dear friends who attended the screening with me, and to all who came from far and wide in solidarity. I also appreciate Mr. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Honourable Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, for being on hand to offer their very warm congratulations.
Our focus is clear. Deepen broadband. Expand inclusion. Protect consumers. Strengthen competition. Improve quality of service. I look forward to working with the Executive Vice Chairman, Dr. Aminu Maida
@Dr_AminuMaida, my fellow Board members, the Commissioners, and the management and staff of the Commission to crowd in investment that powers jobs and growth, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda. Thank you for the support. Onward.
