We’ve developed a CO2 monitoring solution for New Zealand by New Zealanders. Check it out in action here: youtu.be/ySUXwS8HlG0

We think so too. Our Airborne index was built to scale and provide the highest degree of measurable insight and impact.
This automation concept is important. As a low decile school we don't have extra funding to pay for the extra hours of admin time to run a manual process. We need it as automated as possible.

It is worth noting that wealthy schools are able to solve this more quickly. Wellesley (private boys school) has had a full monitoring system from @TetherGlobal for a while and it enables them to assess risk and keep kids safe. Why doesn't your school?
Thank you @AmandaKvalsvig for continuing to hold the govt accountable for the lack of COVID protections in schools. I work in a school in which 21 learning spaces have no CO2 monitoring, and my classroom is monitored because @TetherGlobal were generous 1/ rnz.co.nz/news/national/4856…

Wear a mask = your responsibility Get the vaccine = your responsibility Monitor CO2 in the buildings we work, learn and play in to determine adequate ventilation = who’s responsibility? It’s the hardest to enforce but will have the biggest impact. #COVIDisAirborne #Ventilation
There’s no single ‘magic bullet’ against this virus but ventilation and airflow are key to fighting COVID-19. Important to take the long view. theage.com.au/national/victo…

Ventilation and CO2 monitoring are needed in all enclosed spaces, not just small cramped offices. You can't tell ventilation efficacy or CO2 levels without testing, any more than a non-engineer can tell, from looking (or at all really), whether a building is seismically sound.

The question isn’t do we want to wear seatbelts - it’s do seatbelts reduce risk & harm? We have yet to receive any justification why two of our strongest measures against Covid-19 and Long Covid are not being pursued in NZ. 200,000 people. 1 in 5 of us. reuters.com/world/europe/ita…

This is a phenomenal move from the Belgium government. @jacindaardern, will New Zealand do the same?

How to actually live with COVID: 🧵 * Ventilation and air filtration and CO2 monitoring, and listen to engineers * Masks (N95) in high transmission settings like schools when needed. * Do not drop protections the moment cases decline. Get R below 1 and keep it there.
