I'm so sorry. I was cured of mouth cancer over 30 years ago. And now they have more amazing treatments. I'll pray for you. Hang in there! #prayer @ThanksCancer

Although a very quickly becomes who you are as it takes so much effing time and effort to stay alive. I’d love to be one of those people who ring the bell and get to go back to normal life. 🤷‍♀️

I haven't been placed on iron yet. I guess I'll have to add juicy steaks to my diet. 😅 I'm praying that my PET scan in October shows up clear. What kind of cancer do you have?

yeah. Like today, the Amazon guy handed over the package a bit quick and battered my TVAD with it while I am sporting a pump! I swear I felt the needle poke out the other end of the plastic... it is still sore now but no chemo leaks hahaha. The Cytotoxic Spill Pack remains shut!

Cancer isn’t who you are: it’s just some shit that happens to you.

@ThanksCancer I've been having a bad month. Three different antibiotics have done a number on me. No energy/weakness! My oncologist took me off Ibrance for a week. I'm also anemic. Any ideas how to handle the anemia?

I hate this feeling of overwhelming weakness. When I put my clothes on, my arms burn and feel heavy. I'm so tired. This 3rd round of cancer sure doing a number on me. Dealing with aging process and cancer not a great combo! @ThanksCancer

Current USPSTF guidelines for cancer screening. @AmericanCancer guidelines for breast ca annual screening starting age 40 can be an “option”. ACS also endorses colonoscopy at 45y/o for colon ca! For ⬆️ risk breast ca & CRC, consider earlier screening! #OncTwitter #MedTwitter

There's nothing like treatment day at the clinic followed by a hip X-ray to highlight that the vacation is over. I wore my new #ovariancancer awareness shirt. It reads: "They whispered to her you cannot withstand the storm. She whispered back, "I am the storm." @thankscancer

Where there's a will, there's a way: My husband & son hoisted me into an inflatable raft at the beach & floated me out to where the waves broke. The closest I've been to body surfing since #ovariancancer & paraneoplastic syndrome diagnoses. #Myhappyplace #disabled @ThanksCancer

That's rather scary! Were you able to ask why he feels that way and whether there are alternatives?
